    Has anyone tried a detriot truetac limited slip in a 1 gen tacoma, how to they work for off road, how well to they behave on road?

    I really thought about it but its my daily driver that i drive back and forth to school everyday and a selectable locker isnt quite in the budget

    Does anyone have an opinion on the Detroit truetrac and how the gear type does off and on road compared to the clutch type

    The truetrac is right around 400 bucks give or take a litte depending on who you buy it from

    and a selectable locker is what 700$? if i were you id spring the extra couple extra hundred bucks and get the locker. plus if you go with arb you would have onboard air too. what is your need for it?

    Some snow in the winter and light wheeling, not a whole lot of mud though
