    Just to be clear, your '99 had the type where you could remove the sensor from the duct so you were just left with the sensor mast and the electrical connection (you could slap a piece of tape over the sensor hole and still have filtered air to the engine)? Or was it the type that if you removed the sensor you ended up with about a 4-6" gap between the duct to the engine and the airbox? My '98 is the type where you end up with the gap between the airbox and the duct if you remove it.

    Sorry, I just want to be clear on this since I thought the type with the smaller sensor was from the '01-'04 models so if that's incorrect, I need to update my knowledge, haha. My T4R has the other type from my Taco, so I could post pictures of the difference.

    Yeah, mine was just a hole that the sensor fed into in the duct. Maybe 3/4” in diameter.
