That's cool. I didn't see the guy on the quad eat it, but heard it. Was Matt the guy pulling me out the whole time? Tell him thanks.

Hey whats up y'all, don't get on here too often but I figured I'd drop this little nugget on ya. I live out of my truck in the Bay Area and am constantly looking for gear to make life more comfortable in the truck. Recently have been talking with Exped (Expedition Equipment) and they've released a new sleeping pad that fits perfectly in to a long bed 2nd Gen. The Regular size is the one you want at 72 x 41 x 3.9 for $349

This thing is rated to -54 haha check it out, its been a sweet ass purchase for me!

    Cheers!

    Nice! Welcome to Tacomaworld!

I'm planning on living out of my truck on some beach in Baja mexico...but not for awhile.

That's a sweet mattress. Having a cozy sleeping pad is vital. That one looks pretty good.

Not enough to have a build thread.
What mat is that? Is it an air mattress? Been considering something new since our foam pad basically froze on us in bridgeport. But can't have air because dogs

    Right on man!

This is the Exped MegaMat Duo 10 - Regular Size

    Check it out here: https://www.rei.com/product/113720/exped-megamat-duo-10-sleeping-pad

There is an air component to it, tho it is mostly foam. I think as long as you kept a thick wool blanket over it you'd probably be fine with the dogs? Tho I can't say forsure

I just decided to take Wednesday off so I can get them painted and ready in this drier/warmer weather. Maybe I'll get them mounted up this weekend or prior.

Tricky driver's side? Is that the brake-line bend that I keep seeing/reading, or something else?
My current plan (unless someone tells me how bad of an idea it is) is to get the slider lined up sitting on a pair of buckets, then use a jack to lift from that height, up to where they need to go. In my mind this seems like an alright solution for one person to get this job done; am I nuts?

I was able to do that for the passenger side, Those front two bolts require a bit of flexibility if you're by yourself. But it can be done. Brake lines aren't too tricky just require some finesse.

hmmm... Can other bolts toward the front be added in first, to line up the front two better?

I should have already asked, but where are these plates supposed to go?

Those are the front two I was talking about. you should paint those also if you haven't already. You basically hold onto the skinny end of that flat bar, stick the other end way into the frame, then bolt into it.

And the smaller plates do the same thing but get inserted into the angled portion of the cross member.
