Yeah, I first sat on a F6B in the Honda tent out at MotoGP when they first came out. I wanted it so bad, but couldn't justify two bikes. We moved two years ago, I got more garage space, and realized life ain't no dress rehearsal, so said why not? The F6Bs never really took off like Honda wanted them to, so there was a lot of inventory sitting around the country when I started looking. I did the usual requesting bids, and found the best deal, considering travel or shipping, just up the road at Barger's in Waco. It had been sitting on their showroom floor for over a year, and I got it for almost $7K off MSRP. Bike depreciate fast, but considering I let Honda eat all that, and the fact that Goldwings last forever, I think I did all right.

I don't if you've seen the new 2018 Goldwings, but they did away with the F6B, or more accurately, have introduced the "Standard" GW, which is the normal GW, but with the bag removed. Adding the bag back bumps the price up, from what is already pretty expensive. And the end product looks like a cross between a GW and a FJR! upload_2018-3-26_11-11-16.png

Here you go. Had to come in yesterday for a couple of hours so made sure I got video of the implosion. I don't understand why they didn't have hoses spraying the building while it was going down to contain dust. OSHA's new silica rules/law requires the dust to be maintained on a jobsite :D :D :D :D :D

That’s really sweet just don’t need that much bike an out of my price range just want a bar hopper type to putt around. Maybe when I retire I’ll get a big boy bike.

One for the Tundy, one for the FJ40. Two are...

Totally agree on the price. That market demo is dying, literally. I go on at least one long multi state trip a year, however, and love it!

And as old as that building was I'm sure there was a lot more than just dust in that cloud :gossip: (asbestos)

Austin isn't Texas. If you love Texas, there are plenty of places that are very affordable.

I have no suggestions on the wifie thing. I love mine, but didn't get married until I was 45, and it wasn't my idea.

Does your mom make good sammiches? Look for the bright spots!

We've only been here 15 years, and I miss that "old" Austin. My eyes get misty when I think of "downtown parking"....

Been here my whole life so I'm little salty these days at all the change and I feel the same about downtown parking. I'm fortunate enough right now that my client allows me to park in the garage free everyday but my Subs have to constantly feed the meter after 8AM. As part of my safety bonuses (on top of home depot gift cards) I'll give some of the workers vouchers to park free in the garage for a day. They usually save them for Fridays.

Im sorry about your situation man. I feel like when life gives you a hard reset like this you just have to trust that it needs to happen.

I think this place is stupid unaffordable. I'm actually looking to move out for the same reason. I always tell everyone who wants to move here to 1) Don't believe the hype. This city is all hype. 2) Better make a minimum of 65k to have a decent lifestyle.

Colorado and Utah are cheaper, and Florida is slightly more expensive (Outskirts of Miami). Texas is cool, but Austin is not worth the COL. Only thing keeping me here (outside of work)is the water, the active lifestyle, and TTC.

Best of luck to you man. You'll come out stronger.
