Curiosity has gotten the best of me. I did the LED replacements for pretty much every light on the truck except for headlights and brake lights. I have a 2017 Offroad with the back-up camera. I replaced the license plate lights with LED's, but it seems when reversing those lights are so bright it kind of washes out the backup camera lens. Has anyone else experienced this? I can't remember if the normal plate lights did or didn't.

Only 27 posts back, which is like 1.5 pages in thread years. LOL

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/led-lighting-conversion.436865/page-108#post-17452682

The review is this link (above).

I used these bulbs (below link) specifically to eliminate the glare most people were getting.

It's all good! I wholeheartedly promote asking questions. Mainly because it's only fair since I ask a lot more than most people do. But also because the more information we share the more we grow as a better community. I will ask stupid questions too that the answers are obvious to simply because I don't care what people think about me and it might be a person out there too afraid to ask for fear of being chastised. I'm too old and salty to be chastised.

So, ask me anything, anytime. If I know the answer, I will tell you, if not, I will try to help you find the answer.

So I got these suckers in today!

I don’t know if a good comparison has been done yet, but I’ll be sure to put one together for yal along with the Hikari fog light swap comparison to AuxBeam F16

Right now I’m running Hikari Phillips in Low, Hikari Cree in the Highs, and AuxBeam F16 in the fogs. I’m gonna swap out the fogs and put another set ok HK PHILLIPS.

Wow, those look exactly like the xspeed LEDs that I have (and they probably are...same LEDs that are re-branded by each company). lol Since they are probably the same, I can tell you that you'll be happy with them.

    DO IT!!!

There will be no question to those walking behind your vehicle what you are about to do when you put it into reverse! lol It's a great mod and FAR justafiable than the Baja Designs as reverse lights. Dang it, now you have me thinking about it...but NO. I can resist. I have plenty of other things to do first.

Dude, I noticed that too when I was purchasing that they kind of looked very similar. I wouldn't doubt that they are the same bulb. I am excited to see how bright they are though.

I was going to try the switch back dual color bulbs but then bought the Morimoto XBs. With me though, nothing is ever set in stone. Although I did sell off the factory fogs soooo........

All you need to worry about https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077BT6M6Z is right here lol

    Honestly though.....

AuxBeam isn't bad for the price either depending on the series you get
I hear that the NINEO are good as well

You'll find though that the Hikari Phillips LED are the best on the market to date. They seem to be liked over some of the "higher end" lights as well such as Morimoto LED bulbs

Although the Morimoto XD Fog replacements are great from what i have seen and heard.

OOOO someone is going to have some fun! lol

I'm super jelous of the Pro tail light housings!! I'd be interested to hear if those are comparable (in quality) to the OEM tails. My Toyota stealer said they'd cost me $250 EACH...no thanks! So $200 a pair is much more reasonable.

Yeah, I'm also curious myself. I am hoping there are no issues. They are coming from California so I guess that's better than China lol

Can these same bulbs be used to replace both low & high beams?

Yes they can. The HBs, LBs, and the fogs* all use the same H11 bulbs, so you could put them in all locations if you want.

*Just be mindful of oncoming drivers when you use a brighter bulb (such as these Hikari's) in the fogs...there is no internal shield to cut-off the beams (like you see with the LBs) and may blind other drivers. I equate it to HBs that are angled down quite a bit.
