    Good fish. Sounds like a lot of fun.

    Lipping a trout like you would a bass is teerrrrrrible for the fish. Unless you’re planning on keeping them, I recommend a hand under the pec fins and one under the base of the tail for pics.

    Don’t take me that wrong way. I have zero problem with catching and eating your limit of fish, especially in a stocked stream. I’m by no means a staunch 100% supporter of catch and release, although I release 99% of the trout I catch. I was just saying it’s terrible for the fish if you lip them like that (or fingers in the gills) and put them back. Trout are super fragile. That’s why I said “unless you’re planning on keeping them...”
