I'd tell the vendor what questions to pointedly ask AP. Let them battle it out. No way I'd get in the middle of that mess... Good luck!

Maybe my industry is different but we have a lot of accountability across our departments and it's not uncommon to call people out if they're not doing what they said or should be doing. We have great accountants so, if someone called me asking about payment, I'd give them AP's number, tell them who to ask for and what to ask without so much as a second thought. The reason I would do that isn't to be a dick, but I have faith that they're doing their job correctly and they are just much better suited to respond to the question. If everyone actually does their job, things run soo much smoother!

 

I plan to get an off brand one, I don't have fender liners and the logging roads by my place in ME get dusty as hell

 

How's that gauge working? I don't think I remembered to wipe it before I pulled it, so you might want to do that to clear all the averages if you haven't already.

A previous place of employment my job was inventory management. The first hour or so of every day was inventorying our raw materials and marking (hi lighting) the stuff that needs ordering. At first, stuff wouldn't get ordered the weeks I was requesting, at first he blamed my inability to request stuff just in time, right before we ran out. Even though I felt it was a poor decision I started to cut it closer. Well that lead to running out of materials because of last minute orders, guess who's fault that was.
So, after getting bitched at for that. Then It became my responsibility to plan and expect our customer orders, including the unexpected. I started fibbing the amount in house in our favor, that saved my ass for a while, until it was figured out one day. Then I had to go back to the exact amounts, to the point of disconnecting totes of material (causing a little waste due to lose from disconecting the hoses) then weighing on the scales. Now mind you, the totes depending on build will weigh different amount.
Even with all this extra work, including tracking exactly how much of what products we could make, as I built a massive spreadsheet to track this shit, we still would run out because we would not get our materials in time. Again, guess who's fault.
When I wasn't in trouble for shit I had no ability to control, I started asking questions and paying close attention to the cost of the orders and the value of shipments. My boss, the plant manager continued to try to dodge the question, except when he was talking to our suppliers whom were not getting paid.
This was over the course of a couple years, and what I believe was happening is the owner was padding his wallet while the company suffered and I took shit for things I had no control of. After I left the company was sold multiple times, and finally bought and shut down by a competitor.
I so many other bullshit things about that place, when I left my wife started throwing all the clothes I got from the place, I managed to save a few things as the company treated us all well until my last few years.

Not sure if I am doing this quoting stuff right lol but that started happening to me too. I brought back my coffee drinking to right after lunch but after a while I just stuck with my first cup in the am and then tea all day after that

 

You did it right! Yeah I am starting to cut back a little. I like tea but my coffee machine is easier and I'm lazy lol

 

I usually have 2 mugs before first break then just water the rest of the day

LOL. Better not. The next step in the process is way above my pay grade so hopefully the person that needs to do what needs to be done will handle it.

Should be the same at my place as well, but I get the feeling that it's always every man/woman for him/herself. I find it that I always have to explain why I did what I did, and even then my answer counts for jack shit because my boss ends up getting an email asking the same damn thing, who in turn asks me, who gives the same answer, and only counts when it comes from her. Gets old real quick.
