Cheapest price on the motorad thermostats?? Amazon has some funky reviews per usual i want to swap it in this weekend

 

Pretty cheap at the local auto parts stores. No waiting either.

 

So the plan is to make a flange that will accept the OE gasket:

to another flange that bolts up with this:


Does anyone else want one, so that I can save on manufacturing cost?

so you would just need the 2TR header flange, not the plenum flange correct?

 

I might be depending on final cost. What throttle body would that take? Also, how would that plenum seal to the intake runners? Are you thinking of an o-ring seal or just planning on RTV or a gasket?

He has the 3RZ, so his flange at the head is different.

 

Make it for a tundra TB, and I might be interested ! The one from thailand is good, but not as clean as I would like..

It does have 60mm and 80mm throttle body option

 

Will look similar to this, but with longer runners swept forward to clear.

 

I was considering boring it to a larger size but just decided to go with the stock bore size. Now I’m just trying to find a reputable machine shop in San Diego to do the final bore and hone but unfortunately have not been able to find one I feel comfortable with yet. It’s looking like I will have to do some research for machine shops in LA.

 

Throttle body size won't matter if you can't controller it. There are 76mm Toyota throttle bodies that the stock ecu can control.

 

I stated to show it matches our 60mm or gives option to make an adapter plate for larger bodies.

 

that needs to happen for the 5vz so badly.
