Well, last night coming home... had a green arrow everything seemed to be clear. There was a car coming fairly far in the distance but.... no reason they shouldn't stop for th red. Start going, do a left check for peds in the crosswalk (they're really bad about just walking regardless there). as I look to my lane I see in the corner of my eye this car barelling toward me... before even having time to hardly react hit (jetta tdi). Truck spun around, airbags, all that. Shoved the door open (didn't want to open) and ran over to see if they were ok... their car went at least 200ft+ after the collision and narrowly missed the light poll thankfully. They were cut up a bit and really shook up but otherwise seemed to be ok. Everyone went to get checked out... and that's all I got. I'm good at least... only thing I received was a slight burn mark and a few singed hairs from the air bag. It was actually pretty surreal... had was asking myself if it really happened and how I had no injuries. I even had to turn the truck off... I'm amazed how well the truck held up and protected me... R.I.P. '08 Taco. :(

Now I just have to wait to find out what's going to happen with insurance and all that. I had a witness that knew it was green, he wast turning just next to me and was surprised as hell by it as well... fortunately they weren't involved. I'll defiantly be getting another taco... this time 4x4 hah.

Was at Price and Dobson down in Chandler. Was getting off work...

Yea, ironically I had a schedule for today to look into trading into a '10 TRD Off-Road BSP double cab 6spd.... well that's cancelled for now but I'm still going to go for it after the insurance stuff is done.

WHOA! At least you are walking and in good health.

I got hit by a drunk driver head on at 50+ mph. It was brutal, but I came out walking. Sometimes ya just gotta count your blessings.

This is very true. Two weeks ago I lost a family member to a 10 year battle that ensued after a horrible car accident that left her paralyzed and almost brain dead from accident, until death. It is easy to forget just how lucky we are when walking away from accidents of any proportion

Looks like there was some baby making going on with a telephone pole!
