Awesome thread! What's left of my collection. About to turn 47 and still hit it the parks when time allows.

Just an FYI to everyone, myself and @pat's taco have collaborated on a skateboarding specific patch that in hopefully a few weeks time, we'll be releasing...

    ^^^^ THAT is awesome!

I really need to figure out some leg exersizes or something to fix my leg.

Just found out that this past Sunday Andrew Reynolds was at the private pool session that I've been avoiding since my shit hasn't been right.
I would have fanned out pretty hard. His part in THE END (and all the shit he's done since) was amazing.

The longevity of that guy is amazing. I suspect dropping the Piss Drunx hijinx helped a ton but it’s mindblowing what he’s still doing at his age (which I believe is very close to 40).

Fuck, I had to look it up...

Holy shit, I'm older than him by 3 weeks...! I honestly never knew that.

A stupid bit of trivia about me, I'm exactly 10 years YOUNGER than Tony Hawk, to the actual day.

    Just the basics
Finally found my old pads...don't remember my head being shaped weird enough to fit the black helmet. The silver one is my daughters. I want to pull out the Jr sizing and replace it with adult pads if possible.

    :eek::eek::eek:

Don't reuse that helmet. If the foam is over 2 years old it's basically "non-compliant" and while may feel fine, if you actually need it, won't compress the way you want it to and therefore, brain injury which is NO BUENO.

I've been a part of several "aging skater" groups and this comes up from time-to-time when people pull out old equipment. It's not the same as using an old deck that's been sitting in the attic.
Just looking at how warped that one is, it's more practical as a conversation piece than safety equipment.

If you want to wear a helmet, it's worth every penny to get one for about 50ish bucks that fits well and is up to the latest manufacturing standards.

I'm actually over due for replacing my BERN helmet that I've had for about 3-4 years. I have a cheaper triple-8 that was a back up which I'm not a fan of wearing but it's not as old so I've been wearing that.

I'd also suggest that you go to an actual shop to try a couple on to see how they feel. Gives you the chance to support a local shot in the same trip.

/By the way, those Smith gloves are pretty sweet!

    NICE!

    Old Skull

    https://www.oldskullskateboards.com/

    or try SoCal Skates

    socalskateshop.com

I've bought from both and the people that run Old Skull are pretty cool.

There's a whole bunch of new reissues that just came out and they have package complete deals on them.

Excited for ya and look forward to seeing what you decide on putting together as i’m sure everyone else is as well.

I’ve been wanting this deck for quite some time now but have been very patient in holding off doing so.:DIt’s now available in different color options though(example).:laugh:295C1B0F-2B8B-4F78-AB2F-34A4FE420ED4.jpg

I had the original version of this from back in the day. Neon wheels, crazy grip tape, all the various "board protection". Damn thing was a brick! Try to trade it off to a couple different friends and it kept coming back.

Now I'm seriously thinking about snagging one to throw up on the wall.:D

Randomly decided to listen to T.S.O.L.'s "Code Blue" today and the resulting list of classic 80's skate punk has been playing on my speakers in my office for the last 2 hours.

This came up and I all I can think is how fitting for a Friday for when I get off work, LOL:

First punk show I ever saw was the Circle Jerks. It was in 1986. I still have the shirt from the show. It was the Wonderful tour. I still remember the show vividly. Keith Morris had fucked up his leg and had a cast up to his groin. It didn’t slow him down, he cruised the stage swinging his leg out wide as he moved. It was nuts! I went to every punk show I could get in to after that
