That is normal in all Toyotas with the paint made flexible at the bottom to prevent it from chipping easily!

Found a manual Tacoma TRD Off Road in Cement, with the Performance and Technology package. It would be a $75 flight to get there, but I'm concerned I won't fit with a sunroof (6'3"). Sure do love the color though.

6'3 will be tight. The leather puts you up a little higher too. I'm 6'1 and noticed this going from my cloth '16 to leather in the '18.

I agree that it will definitely be tight. Having a moonroof was a no go for me due to headroom issues. It was the same way in the 4Runner. It also has a lot to do with your upper vs lower body proportions as well. With some lean in the seat, it might work but albeit uncomfortably so. I would definitely sit in one before you jump on a flight if you can help it. I am 6’2”.

My buddy has a 4Runner with a moonroof. I definitely didn't feel like I had a lot of room in that. Can you get heated leather without the moonroof? It's so hard finding a non base manual in my area. I think there are 14 in a 200 mile radius, and almost all are TRD Sports.

Oh...but wait, this is a Cement thread.

...buy a used 2017 PRO, lot more bang for your buck if you can find one.

I did order a Pro, haha. I have a whole other post on that somewhere else on here. Basically the dealership had my deposit since summer/fall, and didn't come through. Now I'm on the hunt.

On the plus side, I sold my Jeep Renegade for more than I owed on it, instead of eating $3k trading it in. I guess everything happens for a reason. :)

My Paint looks strange like that to diezel17. I think that's just the way it is.

Did you do a light polish first? I still need to coat my truck. Been too lazy lately lol.

I figured with the paint being new I didn’t have to polish it (if you have swirl marks I would definitely polish them out first). Good time to seal the paint with the ceramic coat

Just curious how leather is higher than the cloth? I've yet to see a premium package in my market for me to sit in. I ordered one after sitting in a 2017 premium with sunroof and cloth. It was close for me, but doable. If leather is higher it could cause me a $38k problem.

It's a stiffer setup so you don't "sink" as much as cloth. Over time, the leather may soften and the difference may be negligible.
Just my observation. I'd definitely try to get in one before yours arrives.

I see what you're saying. There has literally been zero on the lots in this area since I started getting serious in January, regardless of color. I have bookmarked all the dealer's and pull up their inventory daily. My salesman said they come in, but they are sold, so they never hit the website. Pretty sure the one I ordered will be the first one I see.
