This Amazon magnet might be just the ticket to replace the inappropriate item in the RRG meet thread.

Why did everyone read a post from tcBob saying that the emoji update wasn't implemented yet then try to post emojis for half a page?

For my signature, so I can have a Picture go to build like yours.
TW signatures won't allow uploading images that I have found.

Just trying to be cool like you folk.

If you want your signature to have a picture that links to your build thread (like mine does) you can use bb code. Below is the code for my sig, for example.

    It looks like this:
    Code:

Not like that has anything to do with linking a picture but whatever

@tacofort are you serious about possibly meeting up in Colorado for some views and camping this Sept? I've been planning my trip and planning what days and junk i'll be where. Would you want to swing over and do Moab for some stuff possibly or will you have time for anything like that? I'm coming through southern CO, to Northern AZ, through UT and back up through Northern CO for my looped trip.

Yeah, I'm pretty serious. I'm planning a week and a half to get back from Seattle to Cinci, and most of that time will be in CO and UT. Plan your trip and we'll compare notes. There could be an overlap that makes sense.

Great to hear. I'll probably be doing my trip solo so lucking up and having another member to explore around with for a few days would be sweet. I have most of my route planned so when i get my guesstimate of what days ill be where ill shoot you some of the info.

A gentlemen that lives in Colorado told me to shoot him a text when I head out and he'd show me around a few places in Colorodo as well.

Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.
Skids & sliders have shipped. Being the self proclaimed “official pink dildo with a suction cup” rookie member,,, any tips on brands of paint that will hold up?
I’m pretty sure that I need to prime them before I apply paint.
    Also,,,,
After trying to figure out from TW which differential oil I needed for the front dif,,I was clueless.

Not knowing even after talking to Toyota I bought the cheap shit. It’s Valvoline conventional with the limited slip additive.

Does anyone know if it’ll work, or will it tear up my stuff the first time I use the 4wd?

Paint, nothing will stick better than powder coat. But there's no way in hell that something that gets dragged across rocks and trees, regularly, will I swallow the coin to PC.
Just get regular rattle can paint, Rustoleum seems to be the first choice, whichever shine you want. Most use the self-etching primer sold in the Walmart auto section. I used this myself on my skids and sliders, and the bed liner in a can too.
Liner is too expensive for constant touch ups. Mine will get regular paint this spring.

Gear oil: all your diffs and t-case use the same oil type. I'm manual, so I didn't use and anti-slip junk (maybe I was supposed to but didn't). Hasn't blowed up yet! Changing them again very soon at any rate. Because I'm heeding the manual's interval of 30k miles on diff change, I also got the cheap Super Tech stuff. $60 worth of oil ruined in one wheeling trip vs $120 of oil ruined in one trip

If mine was changed at 30k it was in pretty rough shape for only having 22k on it.

75/90 I think?? Dino preferred vs synthetic. Fak. I am also drunk :p mine is 95/140 or some shit. Too thick IMO but reccomend for my aftermarket gears. Prep sliders with mineral spirits, two coats self etching primer, follow primer directions for time of 1st to coat, top coat with paint or Rustoleum Bedliner. Several coats. Some cover bedliner with two coats gloss or semi gloss to keep a cleaner textured look. Bedliner soaks up mud.
