Wanting real life, real feel, real opinions, whether you like, dislike, on the fence or whatever, about the 888s and Dakar leaf pack.
I had a 2008 DCSB Dakars and 5100s, never was too happy with the ride, was very stiff, but that was then...
#1, for those w the OME/Dakar setup, are you 100% satisfied with the ride??
    #2 OME/3 LEAF add
    #3 OME/Single leaf add
Before I pull the trigger, trying to get some concrete love from your choices..

    I have #2, but the 887, same spring rate but 5mm shorter w a headstrong 3 leaf.

I've noticed the front rides a little firmer but it's not extreme. if I didn't know it was changed I would not be able to notice a difference.

the rear I can definitely tell it changed. it's not rough, but you feel more small bumps. not as squishy. the large bumps or dips, speed bumps etc, both seem to be an upgrade over factory.

I still have stock 265/70r16s on, so all the differences are directly related to lift.

overall, I'm happy with it as I was concerned about ruining ride quality

#1 here 887/dakar setup with a top plate spacer. Madly in love with my truck. Do you carry heavy things in the back of your truck?

I have has the 888s, their softer shocks, and Dakar light weight leafpack.

Overall the ride is stiffer than stock. I like a softer ride but wouldn't change it. I'm 99% happy.

I guess I may at times....Not often though, but I will be adding a camper shell here shortly, so that will change the load rating on the rear. I was curious if the full leaf pack was too much for the rear end w just a camper, or should I go with a single leaf add and blocks...

Go with the dakars. You can always pull the overload out.

I had the same thought so i threw in 2, 1/2” thick top plate spacers in it solved my thoughts. 888’s are only 5 millimeters taller with the same spring rate.
