As if I haven't been busy enough, I was just informed of my selection to a higher management training program...that's about the same intensity of the junior enlisted leadership school I attended in 1992. How can I reasonably expect to TW if I also have to act like an adult?

On the one hand...more money. On the other...more problems.

I was nominated to one of those thingies a year or so ago, by a former manager. I finished the first part of the program, all online, and inquired into attending the second part a couple of weeks back, in an email to my current manager. His response, after he "looked into it", was that travel wouldn't be approved, nor would the $500 for the cost, which is basically just a bookkeeping move, as the group doing the training is internal to the company. Yay.

Keep in mind that my company hosted a weeklong convention in Vegas last week, with more folks attending than you could shake the proverbial dead cat at.

Retirement can't get here fast enough.

 

I'd provide my opinion of my very senior leadership and where they're spending OUR money, but it violates the CoC.

Hint - it isn't complimentary.
