ChryCo used to make a decent vehicle. Your wife picked up a model from just before the tailspin started. Hold on to it as long as it lasts, and for the love of god don't replace it with a current model when it goes.

But with additional mechanical parts to fail (although this is essentially unheard of in Quadra systems)!

Also, I'd bet dollars to pesos ATRAC is capable of providing a stronger limited slip function compare to viscous systems.

Daimler isn't involved anymore...it's ChryCo and Fiat now. Power Wagons are well regarded for their off road abilities...can't really deny that.

Full Time 4WD is ok...AWD doesn't light my fire one bit unless the center diff is lockable...still prefer part time 4WD over all of them...matter of preference though...

    Yup!

We had a 99 Grand. My mother-in-law owns it now.

That Quadradrive system is frigin awesome with Viscous couplings in each differential AND the center diff.....:D It's amazing in snow especially.

I totally want to lift it a few inches, Throw some larger tires on there and put an ARB on.
Steering feels a little vague, but that's either due to age or more likely that it's a Solid axle under the front.

The vehicle itself with solid axles & coils springs feels *floaty*. It was never really noticable when we owned it, but now....after being in IFS vehicles for so long, you notice that even more.

Lift it and wheel it....you might be surprised, and might not need an ARB. But if you get an ARB, make sure you get spare axle shafts/u-joints. :D

I'd get an ARB on it just so that the wife can ram retards who decide to pull out in front of her doing 30km/h while she's cruising at over 100km/h.

There is nothing wrong with a Jeep. They are a blast in the summer. Don't feel bad, I got both Taco and a Jeep.

The only bad thing about a Jeep is that they ride like a Jeep!

I wouldn't feel like a traitor. I had a 98 Jeep Cherokee with the unkillable 4.0 engine. I could get 30 mpg out of it with my slo and easy driving style, and it was as reliable as gravity. My Brother now owns the vehicle, and it is his daily driver approaching 200k miles. Yeah, I'd own a Jeep again in a heartbeat.

Get a rear hitch with a receiver and ball.... on front & rear. :D

We had some dipstick rear-end the Jeep. Needless to say, the jeep didn't have any damage. The receiver & ball taught them a lesson!!!

I think the looks of the ARB is growing on her so I think I can whittle her down to get one for the Jeep too. :D

But yeah, I once tapped a small early 90's ÂĽ ton truck with a ball and hitch. Made a perfect cookie cutter hole in my 91 corolla. His truck was A-okay. :D
