I believe Matt said that it updated the ECU and TCU together as that is the only way it'll function. Can't just update one without the other from the dealer. Matt's tune however is capable of updating separately.

 

I thought I had a problem with my TCU, turns out I slept on it.. made the shifts erratic and numb feeling.

Actually a new diesel emissions filter is in testing phase. Alot of interest in it, might make some of Toyota's Diesels viable in NA without retarding the enginee. It's called ACCT (high ammonia creation conversion technology) eliminates 98% of N0X emissions.
