I be curious to see power/torque curves of both motors. Bet they are pretty different.

I don't care if it puts out 5000hp. I didn't buy my truck for it's horsepower.

You didn't list "part out the non titled truck".

    That's my choice.

    I'll say it.

Quit wasting time on this turd and find something that has a better after market parts selection.

Even parting it out with out a title is going to be a bitch. You can't even take the body carcass to the scrap yard with out a title. You have to cut it into garbage can pieces and take it a bit at a time.

Stop deluding yourself and unload this time and money suck.

Bring the hate on, (but wait until we see how many "likes" I get).

I’d rather daily something newer like a seconded or third gen. I think it’d be a lot more comfortable than my truck. Having a different truck that I can take to mountain and not be worried about scratches and stuff would be perfect. First gens or even an older second gen would make a great option for that.

    But that’s just me.

Yes, it was hard for me because I didn't have the steering knuckles mounted to the truck. I couldn't get leverage.

    Too many to list
I say he pulls the motor goes over it, fresh rebuild and slap a sc on it and drop it in his 4x4. Then part out the roller and push the frame down the street. City will tow it.

nice, I'm hoping to do the same eventually (probably not until I move out of CA). I'm fortunate right now that I work 5 miles from where I live, otherwise I'd be forced to...averaging a little over 200 miles to a tank of gas does not make for a wallet friendly commute. I'd probably just swallow my pride and get one of those little Prius Cs that get 60 mpg's, or something like that...and when I feel my masculinity diminishing I'll just hop back in my truck for a few days, lol.

one of the first ive seen for sale with the 6 speed manual. plan to do a few things like lowering it a little on nice wheels. already ordered some eibach coils and an infinity kappa sound system.

Not as bad as most people think. At least around the south-central part of the state.

Found your truck, but I doubt it actually found you. I paid a couple bucks to use a site like that earlier today just to see what would come up. Searched plates of people I know here and my own. Did seven searches and none of them returned usable info. Mine returned the previous owner, two returned completely different vehicles (and people) in different states, the rest only returned truck specs, no personal data. And that's probably what those sites will return.

Those search companies are getting their info from other sources. Some of the info is public record, but the personal info tied to your license plate is not. Since the Driver's Privacy Act of 1994, state DMVs are prohibited from disclosing personal info unless they get your permission.

I think it's a bit of paranoia. I'd be more concerned about the a-hole I pissed off on the freeway than some individual randomly picking me out of millions to try to harm.

I can understand why you don't care, and I can understand why some people do care. What I think is funny is how much effort people try to put into proving either side wrong. If you want to show your plate show it, if you don't then don't. The hard on for people that don't show their plate is funny, who gives a fuck if someone feels paranoid and wants to block it, shouldnt matter to anyone else. The fact that so many people just here on TW pay attention to who shows plates and who doesn't is plenty for me to understand why people don't show them

I don't know how the 2.7 guys do it, because even with a manual I think the 3.4 is slow as fuck. It has enough to get out of the way, but just barely.

well. Shitty to pay 1k for a TB then get told after install that you need an engine rebuild........when a motor on line costs 1300.

if you don't mind I'm going to go into a hole and die. pretty upset right now. Its not urgent, but apparently the block has a leak and they recommend a rebuild...maybe I call BS
