    I have a softopper and also had one of those on my gen 1 with a hard cap. I wondered how in the world they made it work with the softopper... I see it doesn't. Worked great with the hard cap, used it quite a bit.

    Softopper sells extra poles that hold the tent up similar to the way the glass on a hard shell would.

    Well that makes sense. I was having a hard time believing that they didn't have a solution.
    That might actually be better than the door. I had to put pipe insulation over the door on my old truck to keep it from cutting the tent.

    fits 5' or 6' bed. Mid-size trucks (tacoma, rangers, etc)
