Seems that way. The 4cyl only runs on the passenger side and I ripped off most of the heat shields from it

I get stainless steel ties from work with the tool.
Works good for a while till they fail. Then the shield comes off for good.

I've noticed more and more tacos recently with bed shells. Looking for someone to buy one at full price, use it for a month and then sell it to me at like half price...anyone interested ? lol

    You and me both.

As an aside, I forgot how annoying it is to sell stuff online. I just told one person to stop contacting me. They contacted me a month ago, I explained I was firm on the price (at the time) and the said they could find it cheaper so I said no worries. They then came back like 2 hours later and said they’d do my price if I delivered it to Maine (seriously?)

So at the same time as this (on FB) I get an email via the CL ad from the same guy. So like every weekend for 3 weeks I get yes I want them we will meet etc etc, and never makes firm plans. After two weeks of not getting myself overly busy I am done. He contacts me again asking information that’s in the ad and wants me to source photos of the wheels on his truck. Finally he tells me he found them at a dealer south of me for $820 and I should sell them to him for that to save him the ride. I told him to buy them.

Today I get a message on FB that just says “you ready to take $800 or are you going to ride it out?” I might have considered going back and forth with someone if they were willing to pick them up but after weeks of crap, I don’t care if you offered me double that. People think being an prick gets them a deal?

Sorry, needed to rant. Had about a month here of nothing but BS at work coupled with the weather and basically being housebound with the baby.

Next time he contacts you, raise the price. If he contacts again after that, raise it some more... ;)

The funniest / sad thing is at one point I think he was under the impression there were two people with two different sets of wheels for sale.

I've got a 14 inch tire from the discount tire eBay sale currently listed. So far one guy hit me up for 30 bucks, asked him to do 40.... Then no response. At least when I had that massive pile of parts I sold most of it through TW.

Yeah, people are funny like that. Years ago there was a spare tire for sale on CL for like two months. I think the guy wanted $50 and I offered $40. The ad said asking $50 and I got a staunch no.

I’m not one to lowball and I actually respect firm pricing but if it doesn’t say firm I don’t think 80% was bad. Oh well.

Yeah definitely at minimum i can get 200 locally for the tires because they are brand new she bought them right before the winter. A ton of kids buy funky beaters for trail demo derbys and crap in the spring though so the market should be good

Basically the plan I’ll honestly even take 5-600 if its an offer and pick up same/next day. I’m pretty ruthless though with people low balling then being difficult with the time to grab it.
