I find I can pretty easily get 22-23 MPG in mixed suburban / rural driving if I am deliberately gentle and get into high gears quickly. But its no fun. Barking tires, having fun and getting a speeding ticket is more like 17 MPG. Still on 1.03B.

Would it be a dick move to change the FlashManager app for the new version, leave the link as is and just sit back and wait?

Yup. MT trucks are meant to be driven. Auto takes the fun out of it. I usually shift 1-2 at 3.5K, 3-5 at 3K, and cruise at 2K. This seems to give better MPG than trying to race to 6th gear.

My interpretation has always been that the quickest way to get into high gears is to floor it. "Red line, every time!" :burnrubber:

87 octane if I race the gears to 3k rpm I’m getting 13.4-14mpg. If I baby it I’m getting 15mpg

    89 octane 14.4 racing and 16 if I baby

I don't know what happened to my truck but the last two fill ups i'm consistently hitting 16.0 MPG. This is coming from 14.1 MPG with stock tune. That improved to 15.2 MPG after the first tune and now i'm on the current tune and seeing 16.
I do city driving only so I hit about 28 lights on the way to work. Morning commute is much better and I can creep up to 16.3 MPG, but the afternoon commute brings it back to 16.
I'm not light on the throttle either.

Stop and go traffic sucks for the Tacoma. It’s like a thirsty drunk on 1st & 2nd gear.

IDK if they do it in sunny CA, but us northerners get the pleasure of switching to "winter blend" gas every year. It can easily be a 2mpg hit.

I really hate winter blend fuel. Fuel economy takes a nose dive for sure.

Tell me about it 12.5 average this past winter, this last test tune jumped it to 14 but I also had to fill up,they may have switched back to summer blend already.

Oh and besides 103b for 04A70, if anyone has the stock “ ORI” map for it I’d appreciate that as well.

Nope I’m an idiot and flashed to 103c before thinking to do it cause I thought it would already be stored in the flash manager

Gotcha.... I'm sure Matt has it. Your best bet is to shoot him an email.

Okay, initial impressions after my first ever drive on 103c. In all honestly I wasn’t impressed. Didn’t give me the power improvement I thought I would be getting not the throttle response. When letting off throttle to shift, there is a noticeable bump/surge feeling. And every time I begin to give it gas, I hear a faint almost grind like noise. Happens in gear and in neutral. Anyone have such happen? I took a video of it as well. Really want to try 103B before I make other judgements.
