I think I used a 3m adhesive double sided tape. Still holding up.

Looks like I will be going 35's in the near future but I need to figure out what I'm going to do about my fenders. I have the Bushwhackers that I could trim and put on trimmed fenders, or I could trim fenders and trim the stock flares and sell the Bushwhackers, or I could sell the Bushwhackers and go McNeill +2 flares up front and trim the stock stuff in the back. Decisions decisions. I like the idea of doing the McNeill flares and never having to worry about anything rubbing on the flares but worry they may be a little extreme look with the stock rear. If I sold the whackers I could offset the cost of the McNeill's...opinions welcome...

Where are the pics of the 35's? Hurry up! :D

As a longer term follow-up on the bumper.. I can get an up and down bounce while going highway speeds, but only on certain surfaces. Highways that have more distinct cracks that have been tarred can get the truck bouncing a bit. It's not super fun going 80 when it happens, but it's not terrible by any means. I'm curious if a softer/reservoir shock in the back might soak up some of the inertia. For now, it's not a big deal, and I'm sure not to the extent of what you experienced (and you described a forward/backward motion right?). Very much digging the swing out in every other way.

Haha I'm still in Afghanistan so it'll be a little bit but they're coming! Glad you don't have any major wobbles going on. I'll be adding a leaf into my Dakars when I get back home as well so it'll be interesting to see where that takes me in terms of the wobble. It has definitely been highway dependent....I think the roads I'm on are just right to make it wobble sometimes.

If you go with 35s and with the rear suspension you have, I would encourage you to cut 2.5" out of the rear bedsides, then cut 2" off the fender flare and reinstall. It helps keep the look of glass from the front so it doesn't exactly look super stock in the rear. At least that's my opinion and what I did.

I know every truck is different and wheel offset and actual tire size have a lot of impact but I am on 34 x 11 tires (285 75 17) and under full lock and full compression, they take of every last inch of the mcneil 2" rise 2" flare fiberglass fenders. Dont get me wrong, I love the fenders and they look great, but I would be surprised to see a 35 x 12.5 tire fit with them if you are consistently cycling your suspension to its limits.

I know there is a guy on here that has 35s and the same fenders with no rubbing but he also is running a 1" body lift.

If you're stuck between the size, youll have to check out my 4" to see the difference. I still think they are low-pro enough not to be obnoxious with a mid-travel set up. Anything above 4" and NOT LT is quite a bit much I think.

Yeah I definitely need to come take a solid look at your truck and see what it looks like. I like the idea of Fiberglass because if I find that the 35's aren overkill for me I can swap the regular fenders back on and be about my day without hacking everything up.

Definitely the first I have heard of that. The few other guys I know that have the +2 and 35's say they don't have any rubbing issues at all.

I don’t rub at all right now but there isn’t a ton of clearance left.

So I'm finally back from Afghanistan. Got back in November but family/girlfriend/buying a house and other such projects have taken the forefront. One such project is this little 80 percent lower pistol thing I've been putting together.

    IMG_0301_1_e317d5f4398ffa8a531271b47810783a9a9b502f.jpg

Just waiting on a few more parts to complete it.

Finally added 700 lb springs to the coils up front and added a leaf to the rear to make up for all the weight that I've added to the truck. While that was going on decided to add a U bolt flip kit and some superbumps. VERY happy to finally have some springs capable of holding all the weight. Drives much much better and sits a solid inch higher. Highly recommended.

Added some Kustom54 retrofits as well. Was going to do it myself but he had a clearance sale going on while I was deployed so I just snagged them up. Great product and he has stood by them and answered every question I had. One of the best mods I have done both for the practicality and lighting but also for appearance. Love them all around.

    IMG_0363_8c9bd60f076bb536999ee1426f71b5d3a762f453.jpg

Also got the SCS F5 wheels on as well. I had always not been happy with my 255/85s on the stock TRD wheels. They made the whole truck look like it was underslung and the appearance matched the driving...it was very tippy. With the 3.5 BS wheels on the stance is significantly wider and I couldn't be happier with them. The handling is loads better and it finally sits right. So there's some photos of that and various other stuff since I've gotten back. Not much left to do now...just mount the Prinsu cab rack and then maintenance stuff. Weird getting close to the end.

Thanks man, I love it. Have nothing but good things to say about it and it holds all the front end goodies perfectly.

With the awful gas mileage and getting tired of putting a ton of highway miles on the truck not using it for what I want, I decided to go with a daily driver mod. Picked up a 2014 WRX Hatchback and I'm pretty dang happy with it. Quit the shocking difference in performance coming from the truck. Ridiculously fast and handles like crazy and it still get's good gas mileage. Plus this means I'll have no issues going up to 35's now...

I have to say I’ve been really happy with it. I drive 18 miles to work each day and I’ve had lots of back of my mind unhappiness with putting so many miles on the truck and filling up every 4 days. WRX solves that plus it is just way more fun to drive on my daily commute and errands. I’m pretty happy with how it’s working out. Having two specialty cars is great.

Any new pics of the truck? I’m itching to pull the trigger on the Pelfrey, but they did say they’re about to release another single hoop option styled after the Tundra’s, so I’m waiting to see what that looks like. Demello also said they’re looking at a light bar option opposed to that big ugly DO, so that’s also on the table.

Took a few after I washed it on our first nice day up in the PNW a few weeks back. I was never a fan of the Demello giant. I’m extremely happy with the design of the Pelfreybilt and their customer service is bar none the best. Great group of folks.
