Putting 03 WRX seats and new carpet in my 99 3.4 Tacoma extended cab. Right now I have the 60/40 seats so im going to need to do something with the space. I've thought about just getting the stock center console for the standard buckets but since i work in a boat shop im thinking about having some fun with it and building an aluminum one. Im curious if all cabs are "stamped" the same? Are there tacked on nuts for center consoles or holes for bolts to go through even if it comes with 60/40 seats bench?

    Thanks in advance

Doing it in two weeks. I will post some pictures when done. My brother in law owns an 03 rex and the seat dimensions are almost identical. Im thinking it should work out.. Found the suby seats for 150 in awesome condition. Couldnt pass it up!

How are you planning on mounting the seats?

I'm putting Lexus seats into my truck and so far I've had to sacrifice old 60/40 tacoma seat rails and weld angle iron to them. I grinded the feet off the Lexus rails and I welded the Lexus rails to the Tacoma rails.

I haven't actually finished it all yet - but I'm afraid it will ride too high off the floor.

some have used the double cab's center console and made new holes for the seats, should be similar to an extended cab (or this is an extended cab)

2001 Lexus ES300. I sat in about 150 different European luxury cars at the yard and they all felt stiff and uncomfortable. Then I sat in that Lexus and ooohhhh boy what a difference.

It's leather, memory foam, power adjustments, dual stage heat, and has memory functions. Wiring was not fun it has like 30 wires going into it - can you believe the driver's seat has its own ECU?

The seat has airbags too. I didn't bother hooking those up. They're pretty goddamn comfortable I'm not going to lie. The comfort was only beat by a 1975 Cadillac DeVille seat. I don't know if you've seen what those look like but they're called land yachts for a reason.

Regarding your center console issue the indentation for the holes will be there but in most cases you won't find a nut or a hole. Some trucks did some didn't you have to check.

If you're getting a center console get the 2001-2004 one. Don't bother with the 1995-2000 one it's a night and day difference usefulness wise.
