Is one still really good condition or was it a spare? ST Maxx looks like a good tire, they seem to perform well. Can I get them D rated though?

Yeah one is in great shape and another is in pretty good shape. The latter will become the new spare.

Im not sure if you can in a 16. Would also depend on what size you wanted too.

315s are on my radar. Also I forgot if I ever told you that the LED headlights I got are pretty solid and light nicely.

    315s I don't think you can get a D rated one.

Looks like the only D rated 315 are MTRks.

And nice. Good to know. My lil truck has something aftermarket in it and they are pretty good really for a Halogen.

I've been left worse choices haha. Wondering if C rated is durable enough, I'm really shooting for trail Cadillac with the build as of late. I've beat my ass, back, and kidneys up enough with the truck for the last six years and I'm done with hard impacts. I know tire ply can really change the in cab feel and the KO2s have made me wonder if E rated isn't a bit overkill.

I hate my E rated tires.

Not sure what your worried about with C rated. Frank has only ever had C rated tires. Granted I put a pin hole in one of them...but was a BFG so..yeah.

Never had issues with the MTRs. They don't have a lot side wall flex compared to most tires though. But still a hell of a lot more than my E rated tires.

Our trucks just aren't heavy enough for them. They seem fine offroad for the most part. But man around town at pressure. Not nice.

But you can't get C rated with 16s either haha not in a 315.

I'm okay with moving down to 15 or up to 17 anyway because I have to get new wheels anyway with more backspacing.

    ah gotcha.

    Well 17s offer some 35x12.5r17s in D ratings. Usually if its a 35x12.5r17 its a D and if its a 315/70r17 its an E.. which is taller...:notsure:

    15s are cheaper though :D

    But...no tundra brakes..

It's not often I get to post about someone else's build but after a great day with @Digiratus, @drr, and @Speedytech7, how could I not? Hope you enjoy this Mike; would have put it in your build thread, if you had one...

Shop Day - The Red Head's Rack
"I feel sorry for anyone who needs a cam bolt sleeve in the Seattle area this weekend." said Mike,
as he and Zane walked in the door a little after 4:30pm. See, they'd just driven
a 50-mile loop to get every last one they could find - since we were in the process of destroying
    all four of Mike's.

But we are way ahead of ourselves.

Nice write up. I was just thinking this morning lying in bed what it would take to refresh the front end. About the only part of all my trucks I would like to refresh. They each wander just a bit at highway speeds. Curious to hear how your new lca bushings do @Digiratus

Yep. Still happy I went with the GFC.

I think it will hold up better to the abuse too, especially long-term.

Yeah I think the GFC is a better setup. The only thing the Drifter has is a bigger bed and living space. Should be a nice setup for those that don't push the truck as hard.

GFC seems like its a stronger setup and the one I would pick if i went that route. Can't wait to check yours out. You gonna camp in my yard when you pick it up? haha

Most likely going to have it shipped at this point. 10 hour drive each way and only save $250

Only way I would pick it up is if shipping couldn't ensure I had it before my trip at the start of May, but sounds like they'll have it done well before that.

    Oh well.

If I do pick it up, I'll invite myself over and camp in your yard.

When I first ordered I was envisioning a later timeframe, whereas I would make a trip out of it and get some exploring in up that way. Now I just want it before spring trips and don't want to be bothered with 20+hrs of driving in couple days to get it.
