Dude, no vendor is going to issue a refund for parts you’ve already welded to the truck. Is it irritating that you listed your application as a 2016 Tacoma? Sure. But once you hack stuff up and burn it on your truck there is no way you are getting your money back. I’m sure if you had noticed they were not the correct application, Wheelers would have exchanged you parts without hesitation. I’ve had very positive experiences with them and their return policy when I ordered wrong parts in the past. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again.

It’s a bummer that a culmination of things led to this. It sounds like to me the wheelers inventory system needed an update on this which it didn’t get to right at the time of the OP. I have learned from ordering TC parts that they are closed on fridays which was the second. That said, I bet I would have done the exact same thing with burning on all the tab pieces before trying to stick them on the truck only to find this as well. Sorry to see this happen as I’m sure the direction from tc likely would have prevented all of this had it been March 1st, but hey we all got to work.

On wheelers end though, the product got used the second you started burning stuff which sadly in this case made it a no go in a “go or no-go” option.

At the end of the day, did the cam tabs work out with some modification or were they successfully removed? I understand that more work is always annoying, but if you made it work anyway then hey not all is lost.

Because posting publicly about how loaded you are really is going to net you sympathy when you are bashing a well respected vendor here.

    Get real man.

I'm not expecting a refund. I am pissed at how they immediately blamed me for ordering the wrong part when in fact, I ordered based on what they told me. Being 3 hours from home on a Sunday with my stock tabs already cut off, I had to make them work.

We had to cut the orginal tabs off, find 1/4" steel plate and fab new tabs. Also had to route the holes out. Turned a 2 hour job into an all day affair.

If y’all didn’t notice, he’s Navy. When he says gate guard, I’m going to assume he lives on base, in base housing. Gate guards are armed military members so yeah, good luck getting past them without proper ID.

I'm not loaded by any means, my apartment complex has a gate guard. I'm not looking for sympathy either, just making a situation known.

Look, here's the deal, I got screwed because someone at Wheelers gave me bad info and they refuse to own up to it.

After 2 days a emails back and forth with them they continue to deny the fact that their website did not show the correct parts on March 5th when I ordered. They also are calling me a liar, which I am not, so they got put on public blast.

I can be a dick too.

I've always had great service from wheelers. Company's make mistakes just like we all do. But they can only do so much to make it right. Running a computer repair shop I understand both sides. But without the part returned I don't see how they can offer a full refund.
