Morning y’all. Got my windshield replaced and going Tuesday to get the tint strip put back on. And hopefully sometime next week out tires on the truck. Dealership said I can squeeze 285’s on if they trim some would only change an hours worh or labor to trim. Debating on doing it would love to have 33’s on the truck

 

New tires gettin put on this afternoon. Noticed my rear leaf springs are about shot. Think once I make the move in the summer it’s upgrade time!

 

Dude for st. driving most of the trimming of the flares and stuff can be done with a sharp pocket knife, if you get a good amt of caster out of the truck you may not need a CMC. You reminded me I need to get this chip[ repaired in my windshield before it isn't able to be repaired. Damn thing happened a week after I got the tint put on

 

Yea fuck that.. Do it yourself, dealerships can go to hell!

What springs do you have on there now. Have your's been replaced under the recall yet or are eligible for the recall?

 

I have stock springs still

 

The recall only covers rear springs, there aren't many if any rubbing issues in the rear.

 

Currently level on bilstein 5100’s Running a 245/65/16 if I remember right.

 

Yep don’t plan on changing those out for a while

As everyone else has said, definitely do the trimming yourself. The dealership will almost definitely not take the time to make it look good, and it sure as hell isn't worth an hour of labor.

With that being said, If you are not flexing your front end out (probably not as a PreRunner) you might not even have to do any trimming. This all depends on your wheel specs and what UCAs you have.

Bottom line, make sure the dealership touches your truck as little as possible.

 

Wheels make a big difference, that backspacing and offset.
