Come to think of it, if I go, I'll probably be rolling up in Natty. I forgot for a minute the OGT isn't letting me in and I won't have the new handle before this goes down. Plus she's filthy and covered with pollen and I'm trying to limit the new bumper's exposure to water before it gets painted so washing her until then is a no-go.

 

Finally got rid of the bench

Yes sir. I even have it so I don't have any errors with my air bags either.

For $100 I couldn't resist. Although I gave up making brackets half way through so I had to order some.

Huh, I wonder if they would deploy in an accident, I would assume so as the bag is just a squib and it just needs signal to pop and the computer that sends such would be part of the body computer not the seat...

That said would the provide adequate protection in this application, would they be able to fully deploy, could they harm as they're not in their typical setup, would they deploy on time?

An airbag deploying a tenth of a second late makes a huge difference.

All that aside it's a side airbag in a seat, it doesn't do a whole lot to begin with I don't suppose.

 

Oh I didn't wire the rx8 airbags. The bench seat has a shit ton of sensors mainly based on if you have a passenger or not. Instead of that key thing on the dash it's just automatic but mines always on now.

You manual or auto? Curious how the new seats effect your driving positions.

 

I drive auto but the new seats gave me wayyyyyyy more adjustment and it sits about the same height wise. Although I have to use my handle now to get out lol

 

Since you offroad a good bit the extra support will be welcome I'm sure. Bet those seats do grip you pretty well.

Plus now you have all that room between to build a console/storage/sub box or whatever.
