I doubt the heaters are there also. That's my plan as well. I installed my heaters under the factory cover already but I want to get katzkin covers to replace my factory with, but $700 is quite a bit for some covers haha. No problem at all, I'm happy to help and glad you got it working!

I have a question for you. Could I use an add a fuse in the TAIL for my yellow wires to control the switch lighting when the dash lights are on/off? Thanks so much!

I believe you should be able to. If you have a multi meter and can test power to be sure, that would be best.

FYI...The fuse tap on the TAIL circuit worked perfectly for the switched lights.

I know this post is old. My apologies.
I bought this exact kit last week. I wired everything up just as it was described in this post. I ran my red wires directly to the battery, grounded the black to a random bolt on a metal trim piece, red w/yellow stripe to suggested fuses, and yellow tapped into interior lights by shifter console. I have the seat heaters installed under clazzio seat covers. This is my problem-
Either I can’t feel the heat through the seat foam... The seat light switches illuminate.. but they aren’t getting warm.. like not even noticeably warm. So for anyone who has this kit or something similar.. do the seats get warm? Quickly? I had them on for 30 mins on high and low and felt nothing really. Can anyone suggest anything? What should I double check for wiring? It’s either a bad ground spot or bad fuse taps for the “on wire” (red w/yellow). Any insight or suggestions would be very appreciated.

When I turn mine on the seats warm in half a mile. Make sure your ground is to bare metal rather than painted. There are a few ground lugs in the dash, one on the right side of the center console below the AC controls and another below the fuse panel behind the kick panel. I ran my ground back to the battery(actually installed a ground buss for multiple connections with a #10 wire back to the battery). Make sure you have fuses in the the fuse holders. One problem that crops up occasionally is inside the switch the roller has a thin contact plate bonded to it. The bond can fail causing the wheel to spin but no contact gets made since the plate comes loose. The plastic is abs so it can be easily fixed. I took mine apart and dremeled behind the indicator line on the wheel so the led inside would illuminate wheel position as well as the tapered scale. The bond failed while futzing with it but was simple to repair and has held up since. I read another posting of a similar problem where the poster just requested refund/replacement.

edit- with the wheel in the position shown in your pic there should be a yellow led that lights up the small square at the top of the switch so either the switch isn’t getting power or the switch is broke. The illumination circuit is separate from the switch circuit, they don’t share the same power source.

I literally JUST noticed that the mini square amber light was not illuminating while reading many of the other install write ups. Incredible. Then reading this reply directly after...
so, I feel pretty good with the ground location.. it’s behind the dash, bare metal, near the steering column. however I may just snip the rings and run them directly to the battery to eliminate all possibility. The grounds are bolted together. The red w/yellow “ON” are together in the fuse slot as well. So.. the fact that they’re both not working leads me to believe it’s one of those 2 locations. I’m on it cap!! Thanks for the reply!! (This photo of the properly working switches, amber/dial were taken from one of the write ups.) hopefully a little tweaking and I can achieve amber lights (AND HEAT) Thanks!

Okay so I just picked up a new fuse tap and WE HAVE AMBER POWER TO THE SWITCHES. Must’ve been a faulty fuse tap or weak connection. I used the blank fuse at the top, 4th over from the left. YAYYYY TOAST MA’ BUNSSSS (and the pizza) Thanks for the help!! Just in time for dropping temperatures.
