Our house in the ghetto of EPA is now worth almost a cool mil. It’s stupid. It’s 06 all over again. It’s time to cash out. If we have to rent and watch the bubble burst, we will. I would rather get this over quickly though. I don’t want to do another full, to the studs renovation again in my life. I want a 3 car garage and RV parking. Benicia has all this for wayyyyyu less than the suck that is the peninsula. Plus, I want my Java Point Cafe every morning again.

Question for any of you guys making payments on your new trucks:
How much are you paying per month and how much did you guys initially put down as a payment?

Looking at the Double Cab 4x4s, bed length and a/t or manual dont matter.

Tempted to go new truck but not a fan of making a ton of payments.
Will probably look for a Used truck under 20k to keep payments down if i go the Used route.

    New Truck @35k OTD
    0 down
    Toyota rate 3.9%
    60 months
    $700/month

    New Truck @35k OTD

Fuck that. My time is worth more than that. I commuted from San Anselmo to Redwood City for a year. 4+ hours a day I’ll never get back. Again, fuck that!

I know someone that commutes from Sacramento to SF. No idea why. Still has a full head of hair though.

I know one more person that commutes from modesto or Stockton, whatever it is, same shit.

And yes I know how it is. It sometimes takes me 45 minutes to go 3 blocks.

My commute is an hour one way, it's not bad at all.

Used to take me almost a half hour to get to the other side of town when I lived in Santa Rosa, I commute through two counties to get to work in an hour now.

Yup I commute all over but I am in a company rig and get mileage. Currently working on the federal building in downtown s.f, two schools in Tracy, a job
In salinas and a job at B.A.F.B also just finished up a job at the naval academy in Monterey lol.

So it didn't matter where I bought as we go all over so I bought somewhere I could get a nice home with a nice size lot for under 170k at the time

I used to commute from Manteca to San Jose and like @Anderson said "I'll never get that time back". I did that for way to long and I will never make a commute like that again in my life.

Oh snap im not the only one whos had to make a terrible commute.

I live in Brentwood but work either in SF or Santa Clara, did that commute for 4 years. NEVER EVER DOING THAT AGAIN.
My life was so fucking depressing because all i did was work and sleep, rinse and repeat.
Last time i made that afternoon commute i fell asleep at the wheel 10 mins into my drive and nearly took out some lady at 45mph.
Spent 3 months sleeping in the back of my truck in my buddies driveway in San Mateo. Now im renting a bunkbed in one of the rooms at 250 a month and its fucking awesome.
The afternoon commute is anywhere between 45 mins to an hour and i dont have to get up at 3am anymore to drive to work.
Been 5 months so far and im actually enjoying life again.

One day ill move back to the Peninsula or Eastbay, or ill buy a minivan as a 2nd vehicle and bum around during the work week.

I commute to work and play in my backyard lol so at least on the weekends I'm a short hop and skip to wheeling, fishing, and camping.
