There is no change in the 18. The only change was in the front end. Same wiper motor as in the Limited. Just call a junkyard
Mine came off a Camary. The Tundra has it, past years of Tacos. I paid $50 for mine

Blacked out , why buy retail when you can go junkyarding and get the same part, much less! It's still a Toyota part! Mine is working great!

No time and junk yards are always a gamble, you know that going in and that's about all you know. To be honest, shipping the switch by UPS was also a gamble, the first one looked like a Sasquatch stepped on the box. It had a broken tab so I sent it back which cost time.

Many thanks! Took me less than 10 minutes to install on my 2018 Tacoma and it works fine. I still can't believe the intermittent switch is not installed in all models--only $40 extra.

Great write up! Found a used one on ebay with a 15% off coupon for $55.00. I dont use the wipers a lot in Southern California but when I do it'll be nice to have intermittent options.

The one thing I like about the 2-speed switch is that the washer fluid comes out without the wipers going. Oh well, I’ll still probably do this mod since light rain is so annoying.

I just installed a switch from a 2018 into my 2019 SR and while I have half suscess, have intermenent wippers but only one speed. Any one else try this on a 19?

Thank you moe204 and everyone else on this forum . Just did this intermittent wiper mod on my 2018 SR. Took me a while to get that black clip moved out (luckily I didn’t break it). But after that, easy as pie! Happy camper now. DDC0954D-0868-4003-93F5-405037F71B09.jpg

    The old switch...

Installed on my 2019 SR. Snapped right in and works great. Thanks for the instructions, especially the part about the tab. Advantx- do you have your switch in the INT mode?

OP, thank you! The part arrived today and it was a breeze to install on my 2017 Tacoma SR Utility Package.

Just like others have said, removing the shrouding was the toughest part, but not difficult. It just took a little wiggling.

The new switch works great. When spraying washer fluid, the wipers come on automatically--much better than the old part.

    Great work, OP!
