    made it down to Bakersfield yesterday for the Physical Agility Test with the Kern County Sheriffs Department. only 12 showed up, and 4 were kicked for failing the 1 mile run (10 minutes to do it, took them about 15). background investigation packet is due by april 4th, oral interview board a week after that. At the end of the interview they will tell us on the spot if we are going to the academy or not. academy is in may and is $6.5k less than the one i was originally going to lol. now to figure out if i do the 1 hour commute down and 1 hour back everyday for the academy, or if i just move down there and have my girl move with once the lease on our current place is done.
