I wish I could have done that. Would have gone for an 2nd gen mr2. But i drive 4 miles of dirt road one way and just couldn't do that to a car like that.

It gets good mpgs when I drive like a commuter. When I drive it like a race car it doesnt

    Mostly because I could haha.

Real concept: since the weight over the rear varies +/- 700 lbs depending on the outing I wanted a quick way to account for the weight without having to tune the bypasses for each trip. Plan is to tune at about 50% capacity and the compression adjusters about halfway closed, as weight is added or removed you can make a simple turn on the adjuster. It wont be perfect but it will help some....and why not :notsure:

    yes

Interesting that you sold your LT rig to just get another taco? For some reason I thought you were going full size?

Not an '06 fyi, it would have projector headlights and an updated clip, looks to be an '05. The head gaskets were problematic on the '04 and '05, so take a look at that before purchase, would show a CEL if it has been misfiring.

I hear ya, if I still lived in Maine it's something I wouldn't consider. I think that regular cab is probably the perfect sporty dd - I love my 2nd gen even though it has the 4 banger - the 5 speed makes it more fun and tbh the 4 banger pulls hard enough for me...

btw I dropped my questionable cores at @Bonzen's house and that guy's truck is a complete beast - some lt trucks on here look graceful and stylish - his is built like a bull dog lol. He's gonna see if he can bend them back into shape for me to use them as my set. If not he'll just find some cheap cores.

Yeah my single cab is sporty to me  the v6 and 5 speed makes it fun. I just wanted something with a turbo on it. So I guess i'll add one to this truck someday.

Nice! Hopefully he can find some cores for me..as both trucks I will be swapping mounts with are my earlier ones and they both has cast brackets.

Most of the time no. My commute is about 22 miles one way. Not terrible but it is a lot of stop and go. Most days I average about 28 mpg. If I try though I can easily hit 30+ especially if I go to the office early and miss rush hour.

But when we go on sunday drives in the canyon and you are on the skinny pedal a lot constantly changing gears it will drop to 24-26 mpg. Super fun car though.

I'm amassing information on them to find the right one. I'm tearing apart this truck so I'm ready to take on a few problems lol - I'll have two vehicles.

Yeah a good suspension setup and some boost would make that thing into a dirt road destroyer.

Don't feel like doing the motor mount Chinese fire drill with Igor and one of your other trucks?

Well im doing that with Frank and the single cab. The single cab has a bad mount so Im gonna put the TG mounts on it and the 4xi tranny mount on it. Frank will get the Bozen mounts.

Igor is an auto so can't do a total swap.

I have some plans for the lil truck. But not for a long time.

I've got the extra cast brackets and some cushions if you want them - just pay for shipping and I'll send them to you. Other than that they'll probably go in the trash or I'll put them on my extra motor when I sell it...

That's good - my regular cab consistently gets 18-20 at the the pump. Anywhere from 24-30 would make me happy for sure!
