I think the state Police have blue and white, I have seen others with red in them. But I dont get pulled over enough to memorize what lights are on what vehicle

As a pilot I do not understand this dude at all. He could simply charter a helicopter and fly to a much higher altitude with the doors off and see the curvature of the Earth. It would be both cheaper and much safer.

Edit: Or, should he be correct, Mt. Everest and the edge of the world sea ice.

 

You’ll find that law enforcement vehicles have blue lights in the mix and fire/EMS do not. I know that green means something in some places as well but I can’t recall.

 

My city police have red and blue, but state police only have red.

 

Knew the omission of the word “most” would bite me. You’ll obviously find that it varies state to state, providence to providence. And counties as well as municipalities usually weigh in with their take as well. In the OPs state, blue lights are mandated as part of LE vehicle load outs.

 

I wish cops wouldn't use blue, at least at night time. The blue led lights are blinding.

Having been there when I was a kid, I completely and totally agree. I’m surprised we lived.

 

On a different note...those new grey cars/suvs are hard to see.
They seem to blend in very well everywhere.
Don't know if I'm just used to seeing the white ones.

 

Better than the Birkenstock versions.
