    Yep, over on tnttt:
    http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=68563

It's been a slow build, but it's useable now.

You would not believe how much grief those wheels have caused. Just an FYI for anyone building a trailer from scratch with used wheels... you need a notarized bill of sale with seller's name and VIN, make, model and year of the truck otherwise you can't get the trailer titled for three years after initial inspection.

That rule (the notorized bos...) is for any private purchased part used. Though it sounds like you had a dick of a inspector if he was giving you grief on the wheels.

Inspection is tomorrow, I'm just making sure my ducks are in a row as I've already reserved camping spots with friends for next week. I don't think I'll catch any grief. I'm missing a couple of receipts, but it's obvious that everything is new, so I'm not sure how it'll go. I was amazed that I still have as many receipts as I do considering this has been a three year project so far.

I had to tow it to the scales today. It towed better than I was expecting. It was noticeable, especially up the steep hills into my neighborhood, but overall not too bad. The biggest wtf was looking in the rearview mirror and reminding myself that it's the trailer and not someone on my butt. It tracked right behind me with no wiggling. The multi-axis coupling has no clunking sounds, just the clinking of the chains. It's also nice that it's narrow enough that I don't need tow mirrors. The track width of the trailer wheels are the same as the rear wheels on the Tacoma so I can park along curbs like normal. I'll likely need to make some slightly longer leaf shackles down the road. I don't have a lot of clearance between the tire and fender. I doubt that I'll be bottoming out much though. Trailer weighs just over 1300lbs. It'll gain some weight, but I can't see it being more than 2000 fully loaded and ready for travel.

I've got a brake controller to still get mounted in the truck, but I imagine once that's in place then I really won't notice the trailer. Time to clean up some wiring and the garage.

What if you took 2 wheels off your truck, put the used ones on your truck, signed a bill of sale to yourself, with the other info, in front of a notary? Assuming they're 6lug.

I'm not sure how well that would go over. No biggie though, I've got three sets of those wheels now. I changed out the spare on the silver truck, have three for the trailer and a set that's getting winter rubber thanks to @12thmanhawkfan. I'm using the future winter set for inspection.

I have this crackpipe idea for a triple swingout on the trailer that can swing open to the left, right or both at the same time with a spare and fuel can. Just need some more time, money, and garage space. Also need to get about 30 other projects finished. Might be a while.

Thanks! Feels good to be this close to using it. Now I need to clean the garage up.

I guarantee you he's the owner, I'll bet a glass of $$$ scotch on it. He may not be onsite for daily operations as he runs another business also. You live in North Bend?
