Donaldson makes good componentry. Just comparing the pictures, you can see the difference in amount of filter media between the two brands. A LOT more in the Donaldson.

I guess the big question then is the filtration too good...restricting airflow? Interested in the feedback.

I was thinking I could use my ultragauge and monitor the MAF G/s kind of as a poor mans boost gauge and compare the two. Granted overtime as the donaldson collects dirt it may restrict more and more. I did some reading about the filter type, and it’s pretty cool how it can hold so much soot and the way it is designed to force the air through so many different channels of filter media. Overall I think yeah it probably won’t flow as much, but is that extra flow worth more dirt getting into the engine?

After a week of waiting, got word from AEM about the boost gauge: it ended up being a faulty gauge stuck on 0.0. Got a new gauge today, they sent me back my pressure sensor since it tested good. Now I have the AFR and Boost gauges set up and working right...FINALLY!

Incredible customer service on AEM's part. The tech supporter Matt was top notch!

Sweet! Glad you finally got it worked out!

Magnuson supercharger Install Manual says 0.8mm for the included plugs. I gapped my IKH-24 plugs to 0.8mm also.

Many plugs do come pre-gapped. From personal experience installing likely more than 1000 plugs in my lifetime, I recommend you ALWAYS check the gap on each plug before I install it on ANY engine.

Out of the six IKH-24 plugs, I installed just a week or two ago, two of them the gaps were too tight.

Yeah, I remember gapping the plugs when I installed the Supercharger. I also remember fixing a couple now that I think about it.

so today, after 2 days of not seeing the P0158 code...I got a P0174...went from rich to lean within 2 days. I have a session with Scott Saturday morning but I am about to head out and clean the MAF and check the filter. I havn't cleaned the MAF in probably 2 years so im sure thats due haha.

Also why I was looking forward to you guys with the donaldson filter. I should probably change out my filter and I am wondering if the filter you guys are about to experiment with will fit the TCAI intake???

The urd TCAI correct? I do not think so because that filter will not fit on the afe. Measure the inlet diameter of the urd filter. The Donaldson is 5.5” Flange ID. If you can get me the diamter of the urd one I can look and see if there are any that will work for you.

Not to beat on an ongoing topic of debate, but for those who are brave enough to gap their iridium plugs. What are you guys using to gap them? A standard gapping tool like this?

If you are, that is the wrong answer entirely. If you are, let me know and I'll tell you exactly why I am saying that.

If memory serves me right you have to gap by using something like needle nose pliers right? Something about no pressure on the electrode or you wil damage it.. I think
