I had a Toyota truck from 82 that was young and I was young(er). It lasted so long that it was all of a sudden "old". So in 09 got the 05. I will outlast the new youngsta it seems, just not built the same but we'll see how it can hang. If I keep this one as long as the last I won't need another truck until 2032 when I turn 72 then again in 2059 when I turn 99 then in 2086 when I turn 126.........after that, we'll have to have a better way of gettin around.

I've had a truck since 77. Granted that was a DATSUN, then a Mazda, then a Nissan, followed by a 2000 Tacoma, now the 09 Tacoma. As I also ride a Motorcycle the Truck is my cage. Wife has a 4Runner, thats the soccer mom car!

I always give them a wave or a flash of the lights and when they get close enough for me to see them, they're always an elderly person.

I've been driving Toyota Pickups since before the OP was born.......does that mean I should stop driving a reliable, efficient, and durable vehicle? Shit if it would make all you youngsters feel better, I'll go to the gym and get buffed up, get a few tatoos, an ear ring, a wig, and drive like I have 8000 more times (in weight) testosterone than I have brains. Would that make everyone happy?

Oh Yes! I almost forgot! Gotta crank Dropkick Murphys "Shipping up to Boston" up to about 100 decibels above the threshold of paing and open every window on the truck, while wearing some mirrored aviation shades, with the seat leaned back and displaying the "lean" while I drive.
Should I get some truck nuts too?

LOL I do not ever think of you as a typical old guy. LOL ;)

    :D

I am an old guy and we like a good value in a vehicle. The Tacoma is priced to be affordable and it is dependable. And I am making mine to look like an old farts truck.

I am on my 3rd Toyota. First was a 84 4x4. I use my 2010 DC LB 4x4 to camp and fish in the middle of nowhere. I have a highly modified Four Wheel pop up camper and love camping. Yes I am 51, but did not think I was old until I had a heart attack 2/22/2010. Never smoked!
    Life is good.

And please do the ones highlighted in red! :D

I don't care how old you are. I just want to see mods. No one mods their trucks (including all other makes) around me. I saw one Tacoma twice with XD Addicts and that's it.
