I bought these on eBay yesterday. How did I miss the discount? Wonder if I can beg for a discount after the fact?

This upgrade was going to be put aside for another time. But with that price I could not pass it up.

I’m actually not running these personally I run Rockford fosgate power series all around but I herd great reviews about the focal plug in play ones

Did the kicker upgrade on the door speakers and the Subaru tweeters about 2 weeks ago. Big difference in sound quality even thiuth I didn't have a problem with the factory sound. I didn't know what I was missing until I swapped .

well got the dash speakers today. install was a breeze. took about 30 min and that's being extremely careful with the covers and a arms because I'm ocd and didn't wanna scratch anything.

at first I didn't think they were that much of an improvement over factory, but when u started rocking out and got the volume over 35, that's where they started to shine. they drowned out the rest of the system and all you could hear was the dash speakers and a little background bass. overall for the price, was a good improvement.

Now I'm really excited to get the kickers for the doors from crutchfield and the sound deadener. it's gonna sound pretty dang good for the money involved!

So what is a quality upgrade for us JBL guys? I dont trust going to the local sound shop. There are too many salesmen there.

I have no idea man. im like you. I figured for 300 bucks for speakers, tweeters and sound deadeneing I'm not out alot if it's not that much improvement.

i haven't heard a jbl system so I am not sure what it lacks or what you are looking for. nor am I an audio junkie. maybe search some threads and see what it shows. I'm sure someone had upgraded. I would assume it would be running an amp and swapping speakers, then probably throwing at least a 8 or 10 in the back to add some low end.

If I’m not wrong the JBL system runs at 2ohm’s so that’s where the problem comes in cause almost every aftermarket speaker on the market is rated at 4ohm’s but if I’m not mistaken the focal audio plug n play’s I mentioned earlier may work but they are $$$$

Right on. I dont mind throwing $75 at something if its a quality upgrade but if not Ill just wait and do the whole truck system at the same time when I have more time and money to research it.

Hold on there might be a slight misunderstanding because the focal units are $299.99 for front set 269.99 for rear set they only sell the speaker tweeter combo

No I meant the $75 from the link earlier. The $300 Focals would definitely have to wait until im in speaker mode.

    Kicker tweeters, more to come...
Y'all won't be disappointed. I was ready to replace the door speakers too until I fired these up. The kicker tweeters will hold me over for a while. Sounds like a whole new system in my opinion
