Skid plates are painted and installed. Also installed a custom waterport mount with a storage box underneath for support.

Nice truck. Like how you just went for it and have kept learning as you go (nice welds!) I want a lot of the same equipment and mods but find it hard to fit in the expenses involved. So I'm jealous for your boldness and drive to get the truck to such a great level of functionality.

Thank you very much! I have learned so much from Tacomaworld and other internet sources that helped get me started. My truck is my favorite thing to spend money on so I fit it into the budget whenever I can. I can say that I've saved a ton of money by doing almost all the work on it so far. That leaves more money for future projects :D

I've seen some homemade set ups on roof racks in Costa Rica used by surfers to shower up. Theirs are gravity fed. Do you have to use a pump?

You can either use a garden hose and that pressurizes it as you fill it or there is an air valve so you can fill it and then use a bike bump or I have a portable air compressor I use to get it to like 40 psi I think.

Excellent idea. I like that it sits inside. For overlanding and if parking in shady areas is best to have stuff out of sight as much as possible. Thanks for the prompt response. Looking forward to your updates.

What do you do after you finally get skid plates, sliders and a four day weekend? You go to Moab of course! That place is incredible and I definitely plan on going back soon.
Only suffered a minor dent and a few new scratches and had to winch up one spot. Well worth it though!

WOW! That looks like an awesome trip. Great pics. I really like the one from the top of your truck looking down.

Got the truck just about stripped... going to paint the new dent i added in moab as well as a full paint correction. Also while everything is apart I'm painting the fender flares with a truck bed coating, debadging everything, getting it cleaned up and hoping to have enough paint left over to color match the grill.

Haven't been able to update in a while but here are some pictures from back in April when I went on a day trip on the Backway to Crown King trail with some friends before putting the truck back together.

I've been pretty busy with work lately but after getting settled in from the move I was able to take a few days to go camp down in Pensacola, FL and enjoy the beach. You can kind of see the bedlined grill and flares after I put them on. They look great and have been holding up well. Also, my dad has been busy putting a few things on his 2017 Tacoma (bumper, lights, sliders and skids). He was apparently one of the last people to get his Pelfreybilt order. It's a shame what happened with that company they made some beautiful armor. And the last picture is about the only four wheeling I've been able to do for a few months... a rescue mission to get my friends FJ out of a river. He was there with another person in a Jeep and they were unable to get him out. I got a call and put the Superwinch to work and had him out in a jiffy.

The climb to the top of that light house is brutal for us fat guys.... :D But it was well worth it. Going down with people coming up though, scary with the kids behind you.

Unfortunately we could only go as far as the gift shop at the bottom... My son wasn't even tall enough to climb it. But it was still neat to checkout and get a picture in front of. Looked like the climb was brutal for sure haha

Hi jcott329, how did you find your Tacoma did on the rough spots on the back CK trail, vs a short wheel base like a Jeep? Having full body ARB skid plate installed Friday at 4WP, but concerned my double cab SR5 has too long of wheel base to get over some of the roughest parts of the trail? Also have a 3" lift and BFG 33 Mud Terrains.
