So, I know there have been talks about this here and other groups but nothing too concrete. I wanted to give a week to the LC group to do the event on 4/8.

    What are the details?

Hey ATX, thanks for sending the weather! Two routes to get home and this was the better of the two. Hard to see but the water is almost to the doors where I'm at.

So investigating the VIN on this prospective truck, these are the details:

    upload_2018-3-28_18-33-53.jpg

The Vin says 2000. Not 2001.

This VIN is tied to a factory locking diff

    upload_2018-3-28_18-35-11.jpg

This truck is making me nervous. But its so hard to find a decently priced 1st gen, TRD, 5 speed. This one supposedly has a new engine in it so I'm crossing my fingers.

It's a 1st gen, you're not going to find a creampuff unless you're willing to pay top dollar.

Is it cheap? Does the frame have rust? If its a good deal and its what youre after, you won't regret it. My salvage titled 2001 Tacoma has been my daily for 5 yrs, never let me down, never a hiccup, and I beat on it at the trails and at the ranch.

What REALLY SUCKS and is the killer part is that I work 4 days in Hutto where I come in at 04:00 then have to switch over and work 3 nights in Pearsall where I come in at 18:00 (6pm, for the younger crowd).
Today is the switch over day. 04:00-09:00 in Hutto off until 18:00 when I drive to Pearsall and work through the night till 06:00.

I'll be mowing today as well. I'm considering dropping a note to the guy across the street, to ask him if A&M is funding a thistle research project at his place. And if not, suggesting he TAKE CARE OF THE DAMN THINGS! They are about ready to seed, and I have enough of that crap in my yard. They're too old to take care of the maintenance on a 1 acre lot, so shouldn't have bought.

I know a guy who'll do it for $50 a whack. I'll tell him to charge them $100 just for you.

This guy has three grown a** men for sons that live in the area, yet his next door neighbor mowed his yard more than a few times last year. That neighbor told a couple of us that we should take turns mowing the guy's yard. I told him I would help the guy put a House For Sale sign in his front yard, so he could downsize to something he could handle.
