well you see the issue is that the problem has arose with an inconvenience that isn't really an inconvenience that there is a roadblock for the plan sort of in the way but not really a hindrance you know like an obstacle..

basically I'm procrastinating for some reason...

 

I need to figure out the best way to secure these brake lines around the slider bolts. @JimboAnz ideas?

I’ve seen folks use a 3/4” gromet as a spacer on the clip, but that won’t come close to getting the lines to clear the bolt inside the frame.

 

Run on sentence.


You will regret that procrastination when you bash your transfer case. AOP is a good place to bash a transfer case. Just saying.

 

I know I've been there without the skid lol.

Really the only issue is finding time while the guy is open that will do the reroute for me. He's so popular he backs up daily.

 

I think what I did was slit some fuel line and wrap the brake lines, and hose clamp it so it does not wiggle / slide away. my lines may not be in their clips anymore

 

@TheTacoma has you beat though. He has the reroute done, but hasn't drilled through the frame to install the transfer case skid.

I’m about to put some 1.25” spacers on my OR wheels myself. This looks great. While my tires aren’t as beefy as yours, this gives me a good idea of what to expect.

Thanks brother. She does look good from the back, but i only run the spacers out of necessity. Make sure you get some good quality hub-centric spacers (like spidertrax).

what's your plans for the chrome grill?

 

I definitely don't like the chrome, but I have't focused on cosmetic stuff much.

 

I hear you there lol. I spend very little on cosmetic purchases. Can't even bring myself to spend money on headlights...

 

I’ll probably paint the chrome eventually and call it good.

The only “cosmetic” thing I’ll do is wheels. But I probably wouldn’t consider it cosmetic as the main reason I need them is to get rid of the spacers.

I really want to get steelies, but I need to avoid extra weight where I can with it being my DD.

 

I bought some Spidertrax from another member a little while ago. I am moving up from the stock 245/75 tire, so once I do that I will need them, too. Just waiting for these tires to run out of rubber!

 

Gotcha! I was going to wait for my tires to run down, but ended up being forced to buy quicker.
