As much as I'd like to find a magic bean that will cure the problems, MOST of the issue is age and Parkinsons related, and probably are here to stay. Legs getting weak.... I am scheduled for a series of tests through my neurologist. He seems to think some of my problems look strangely similar to symptoms of MS. Since Christmas, I've lost 51 lbs without really trying...That seems to concern a couple of my doctors more than it bothers me... Getting old sucks. Just not as bad as NOT getting old.

Yesterday, I had to get on the roof and look at some ventilation equipment. 32' ladder climb, then all over a very steep roof. Then back down. My aches and pains today are closely associated with that climbing yesterday. 5 years ago I wouldn't have noticed a thing. Now I pay for something so simple as this. Planning on retiring a year from this coming August. Never saw having to retire so early in my 60's, but it's coming.... Paying for a lot of abuse years ago...

My mom retired well before 60, not by her choice either. Had open-heart.
She now says it was her best life choice ever. Don't look at it as a negative thing, Bill. It's a new start to the second part of your life!

Retiring isnt the issue per say. It's the fact my health has been going to hell to cause the need to hang it up. I own much fishing tackle. Can do retirement. Just cant do constant pain as well

And rain. Followed by rain. With rain after that.

New "job" at work. I'm now the "manager in charge" of our video surveillance system. 48 camera, 4 sonic detectors, all funneled through my computer. Will be viewable on my phone very soon. Now I get to watch idiots at work!

No one else wants to be the bad guy...or give court depositions when we catch someone doing something they shouldn't be doing. Me? I don't care who I piss off.

I have better things to do than sit and monitor cameras. It's a "if/when this happens" security appliance, not a "sit and watch" thing for us.

I'll log in to the site if I get an odd email alert to check, but that's about all I do. Getting these folks to use their proper login to disarm, now that's a whole nother ball o wax!

Ours is not monitored...But if something was to happen, we can scan video. No over-riding this system. On 24/7. If there's a problem that gets videoed, I get to search for it.

Very similar setup for us as well. We pay a monitoring fee to the company that sold us the gear.
It works very well! Police responded twice so far, once was someone that didn't know we had a system in that building :)rolleyes: yea right), and the other was legit. Couldn't determine why it went off.

Working on getting the rest of our buildings on their stuff as well
