When I was searching, I couldn’t find a write up, so here are the parts needed.

    -Fernco Reducer coupler
    -Small length of 3” PVC

Fernco part # p1056-43 (thank you @stairgod for the Fernco suggestion)

    3A423DC5-33C6-443E-9BFF-DF9E4130196F.jpg

Cut the lip off of the AFE it’s too long & too big to work as out of the box
    1622912D-3B7A-43CF-807C-D6B97562572B.jpg

Also have to shorten the big end of the Fernco
    0BB3C733-BAF6-48D3-9362-51B146A67CA8.jpg

RTV to seal things up. I could blow air through it. The clamp alone wasn’t getting it done

    More RTV
    A778EB75-5933-49EA-A519-F036591C7B49.jpg

Also have to shorten the rubber coupler from the snorkel

    Fernco poking through

    Done

I should note that the AFE was never meant to protrude through the Fender. It doesn’t line up exactly. It twists the box making the cover hard to install.

Once the cover is on, it straightens it out, but it’s a bit of work to get it on.

Good work! Please report back if you notice any lost boost with this setup?

Also if you want to run a donaldson filter with your afe box the part number is
    Volant 61515 :)

    Thank you.

I had the snorkel already. I added the AFE. I’m also going from the 2.825 to 2.55 pulley, and adding the 7th injector. So... I better not loose any boost.

I saw that Donaldson filter, thank you. Waiting for more info on that one.

I know it has been talked about the snorkel adds restriction which adds less boost. But with the afe intake I think since it’s more of a straight tube vs the stock intake you might come out ok. I might have to jump on this snorkel group buy now. I’ve seen this exact write up somewhere on here but it’s burried so deep it’s hard to find it.

Yeah, my truck was a trail rig long before the Supercharger. With the 35s and no inner fenders, the snorkel is a must.

Figure I’ll make it as good as it can be though.

Yeah I actually just bought some new fender liners for the front.. shouldnt have thrown my originals away but live and learn. No fenderliners = intake, headlights, and door gstting slammed with mud, dirt, water.. it’s all bad. Hoping I can atleast hack these ones up to help protect the intake and headlights. I still would like a snorkel though, cleaner air is always good.

It’s a filter that will fit with the afe intake. Not to derail too much, but here is a few pics.

    For sure.
Derail away, I’ve already said what I had to say

My box is like this right now. The maf tube was super hard to install, almost as if it’s too long, and it makes instaling the lid highly annoying. I’ve been meaning to trim the tube a bit. You probably will have to as well once you get your 7th injector.

    @HolyHandGrenade
Did you get the AFE installed with the snorkel? Any boost issues?
I've been running the AFE with my SC since new and am thinking about adding a snorkel so wondering how that's working out?

It’s working out great. I’ve made as much as 12.5 lbs of boost on a cold day. That run translated into roughly 400 HP at the crank.

When I did mine, I though that I really wasn't gonna like the look. But with the fender on the truck, I can't see it. And it works as intended.
