    With a decent handheld GPS it wouldn't be too bad, but the issue is building an offline map that we can reference on our phones.

    Personally, I'd be happy with a better physical map of the place that maybe has trail detail views on the reverse side.

    Yea, that is what I am thinking.

    Have a better physical map that is somewhat more accurate with updated trail names and such.

    Just need to have someone do that lol.

    Yea, I still have to get the damn rear locker plumbed so I can use it next weekend...

    Going to have to try and get that done ASAP. Hopefully I can get some time on Saturday at some point along with redoing the CB install.

    I have the cheap samsung tablet with gps. I go to google maps app, select tools, offline navigation. Then select the area you want to download, and it will download a file with that are. Then when you get out there, just open up that offline area file and your gps will still show you location and you can still zoom in and out. That how I familiarize myself with a remote area when I get a job out there.

    The problem we run into at Barnwell is the trail system. They often don't reflect what's on the map, and tree canopy can prevent viewing a trail on google earth/maps. What would be nice is to download an offload map like you've described and overlay trail waypoints for aid in navigation.
