    Metal, I absolutely despise the synthetic stuff down south. If you only do rock it's fine...but get some good mud ground down in that stuff and it vibrates and cuts the strands....it ain't for me.

    Both my external load slings are made from dyneema. It is impossible to find them without a nylon sheath just because of that purpose, any dirt or mud gets on it, the FAA considers it contaminated, and it needs to be replaced at the next maintenance interval.

    I know nothing about winches - so I'm just going to trust @trekker's judgement on that one. I know he has put his to use - so if he recommends it - I'm good with it!

    I do need to get that ordered though!

    He speaks truth, X2.0 is definitely a better winch than the extra one I have. I am still on the fence about mounting it on the rear....but rear winches are so nice for recovery

    True, but I hate mud... and I try to stay away from it as I hate cleaning it.

    That is the one I am wanting to do as well...

    That would be pretty nice on the flat bed!
