Yep, it's fun and interesting to learn while I'm in the Navy, not sure I'd want to do it full time.

I know a few GISPs that are also surveyors. I took a few classes back in the day... but it didn't hold my interest. I use ArcMap 10.3.1 on occasion to prepare deliverable files for certain clients and know just enough to get me into trouble.

In the surveying community... we refer to GIS as "get it surveyed"

But we are micro mappers vs. the macro mapping GIS field. I think the largest maps I've made as a surveyor have been right-of-way alignment maps for highways, maybe 5-10 mile stretches. That's nothing for a GIS tech, but then again we're tasked with representing more abstract data that most GIS databases can represent.

Hot wings for dinner without beer? I gotta make up for that.

    20180329_202215.jpg

Bottled 12/15/2017 and a little age to it tastes like heaven. I've got three more from the same batch to age as well as four I'm hanging onto for serious aging... they're already at one year bottled 3/30/2017. These get better with age as the years go by, just like me :p

:drunk:Now I kinda want a beer or 6. I need to wake up on time also since I was running way late today but managed to make it to work on time. Just had to deprive the pup from our normal morning play time.

You can have at least one, like I am. I'm making it count this one's 15-20% abv. I'd sip some whiskey, but I'm saving my bottle for Jambo.

Poor Teq, he just wants to play!

Yeah I'm not usually good at stopping with 1. Teq didnt suffer long. Hes spoiled and has a day sitter most days when I'm at work. Happy to have a great set of parents who gladly said yes when I told them I wanted a puppy and would need some help with my work schedule. When I decided I was going with a puppy I didnt think it was fair to crate him for 13hrs and expect him not to have an accident in the crate. So far hes only had to stay in his crate for the whole day maybe 20 times in 8 months. When he was younger I would take extended lunches and work late to make up the hours to cut his time down to 6-7hrs stretches. It worked since hes never had an accident in his crate! Now I just give him exercise in the morning to burn some energy and he's good until I get home if nobody can watch him.

Xrc and the x20 both have the same IP67 rated motor, so no problems there. I am still waiting for someone to make the jump and design a winch with a low speed high torque brushless digital motor. Half the size and twice the power.
