I have some experience changing from light to dark themes. It's not always as easy as changing a few lines of CSS. These forums and all the plugins often have several CSS files that you have to work through. Then you have to figure out all of the different variations of colors ... and the smiles. Many times the smiles don't have clean edges so they use light colored mattes. It took me a few days to work through changing all the mattes pixel by pixel for each frame of animation to get all of the smileys to look right.

What software does this site use? I know vBulletin used to have an option that let users choose their preferred theme. That would let some users choose a dark theme and let everyone else keep the current default theme. Just a thought.

I can remember back mid early 2000s when Vbulletin went through a smiley change and I was admin of a forum, damn that was a pain in the ass to fix. I’m certain now it’s a lot easier. I would love to see a color change myself and I think it would be welcomed.

Some settings have changed with the IP address of the site and your computer showing that screen hasn't yet registered the new IP address. Could be the network that computer is on will take a few hours to register the new IP.

I have a galaxy s8 and browse on google chrome. I use the google keyboard. For whatever reason, my autocorrect goes absolutely crazy on this site. The autocorrect on the phone in every other aspect works just as I would expect. Even in chrome on other sites. Anyone else experience this? Each post I make I have to ensure each key is touched in the exact correct spot on the keyboard, or it will mess it up. Before each post, I have to go back and read each word and usually correct 6 or 8 words before posting, even then, it mashes words together and makes no sense about what its trying to do. I have to imagine this isn't normal for all.

I've tried removing chrome and reinstalling. Removing the keyboard and reinstalling. It still does it. It's been going on for probably a year, but now that I'm closer to getting a new truck i'm much more active on here.

I appreciate it. Sounds like they're going to work on a fix. I could jump out of my skin sometimes trying to get a post right.

if it's really bugging you then turn off rich text in the site prefs.

Just turned off the rich text feature. What is supposed to be different? About the only difference is the composition window is now dark yellow at the top that fades to a lighter yellow towards the bottom. My phone is an S8+ running Android 8.0 Oreo. I use predictive text composition and I think most of the mistakes I find in my posts are my own fault when I don't use the feature completely.

Ok, I see what happens when you turn off Rich Text. All the font editing functions, links, emojis, etc go away.

Not a fan of this at all.
