More gold scs love. Decided to go out and watch the sun set, see if I could snag a few more good shots. Boy am I glad I did!!

    Just look at that shit!!

Haha... But seriously! The sun just lights these suckers up in so many different ways, depending on the angle and whatnot. And our amazing Arizona sunsets out here just top it all off! Mmmm Mm!

Haha yeah. I Probly got a lil too excited.. But like said before, these ones are really hard to capture how they look in person, so when I get a chance to show off their true beauty, I'll take it. Lol. Because the very few pictures of these I initially saw, weren't really enough, I guess, to blow my mind like they do now. Ha.

And I too also wondered the same thing before I pulled the trigger on em. But now feel like they'll never cease to amaze.

    Harlan,
TOO EXCITED?!?!?1?1?! LOL. Screw that, you deserve it! You got a Bad Ass 1st gen! And Bad Ass Wheels! And the perfect scenery to show both off!!! I remember when I got mine.

I am older than most of you guys and have had so many vehicles in my lifetime but I am a kid at heart and a gear head modder from way back. My very first off road vehicle was a 1980 Ford Bronco. The one with the removable shell. I bought tires so big from a Goodyear dealer in the city where I lived that their machine couldn't even mount, let alone balance them. I had to take them to a place called Fallsway Spring, that mounted and balanced tractor trailer tires. I had white wagon wheels. It looked like a cartoon tire it was so big on 15" wheels. I could only afford a 4" body lift at the time so it had that too. Big Foot was very popular at the time and I was trying to give it a run for it's money. LOL

I joined this forum in June of 2017. People on here have been freakin' fantastic! I stumbled into the world of @SCSPerformance luckily one day by mistake. My eyes popped outta my head. The day I saw those Copper Ray 10s I knew I would had to have them. I was already sold on the Inferno Sport and I have a pretty damn good eye for color coordination since I have been doing graphical design work for almost 25 years. So I set out on a quest. I bugged the heck outta Vin at @SCSPerformance and I mean like crazy. He put up with all my BS and I found out from our chats just how nice a guy he was. Down to earth, and just great. His counterpart @scs_vuth is just as nice. Great team.

Of course this was 9 months ago and back then the possibility of getting Brushed Coppers was like seeing a gnome riding a unicorn over a rainbow chasing a dragon. Then outta the blue, another member contacted me and said he had 5, in the box, never on the truck!!! Wanted to know if I wanted to buy them. Of course I wanted to buy them! Problem was, two fold, one, I am a pretty moral guy and now after all the work Vin had put in with me I felt like crap, two, was I willing to take the chance and hand over $1k to a person from a site on the internet? Well, of course it took me all of about 3 seconds to decide in my mind I was willing to take a chance. That left the moral dilemma. I actually reached out to Vin and explained the situation. His response was to go for it. "A bird in the hand" he said. Honestly, if I had sensed anything else I would not have done it. I have zero enemies that I know of and want to keep it that way.

So I talked to the seller and asked if he was willing to ship via FedEX to a location other than my house, and if he would use PayPal. He agreed to both. My thought was, if I went to pick them up and the boxes looked damaged I could refuse the shipment. I knew PayPal would protect me financially. It worked out and the wheels were delivered and mounted up. I was so freaking ecstatic! Here I was, new kid on the block, brand new truck, brand new Brushed Coppers. I was going out and looking at my truck both at home and at work and if I drove somewhere I would turn and look at it like 50 times walking away. Sometimes I would just stand there and stare. I know I know. A bit excessive. But you need to keep in mind, I am an older guy and this was sort of a mid life crisis tool! Plus c'mon, the wheels are freakin' bad ass. You know.

Well, like you, I was using every opportunity to show them off on the site here. And some times if the opportunity didn't present itself, I would do it anyway. Was I being obnoxious? Probably. Did I have the right? Hell yea! Well, one day someone spoke up and sorta shot me down for it. I felt bad, I really did. Feelings were a little hurt. I mean, why not just be happy for another persons good fortune? Well, I was foolish. I went back and deleted some of my posts. Admitted "I didn't want to be that guy". I throttled back and moved on.

Thing is. It's always bugged me. Not badly, but just kinda stuck in my craw. I mean, I was the bigger person and all, and I still feel bad?

Well, not any more. I feel like this, and I am glad you are showing yours off too. If you are a decent person, work hard, don't hurt others, and happen to get lucky and have a windfall, then screw everyone else that is jealous! They are gonna be miserable no matter what. I say now, give people something to strive for! Determination is a lost art in Merica! Everyone wants something for free. F That! You gotta work for it just like I do. I put in so much time and effort and yea, the stars aligned but still, a lot of effort and I won!

So when you, or anyone else posts up their accomplishments, no matter what it is, and I know they are proud of them or happy about them then I am proud with them and happy for them! And that is all that matters now!

With that all in mind. I believe I am a little overdue!

So there you have it, My Brushed Coppers on My Inferno Sport (well the banks for now, but ultimately mine). And I think these wheels look just as good on this truck, no wait, even better now than they did when I first got them and the Love Affair is only getting stronger with each mod I do!

Not only are these wheels great for me, they are great for the environment!

    Salamander.jpg

So as I always say, if you got it, flaunt it!

Dang man. Ha. Thanks for the encouragement! Lol. Idk, I get what youre saying and all, and appreciate it. I do feel like there's some out there that could care less, or have infinitely better stuff on their rig and think less of me.. But I dont care.. Some of us dont always get to have the really nice things, and when we do get em, I'd like to think that it makes us appreciate them that much more. Ha. Idk...

Again like I said, I really just wanted to flaunt these wheels because there really isnt all that much out there that truly captures these golds. They truly are one of a kind. And the coppers too!! Those are just as unique and I'm sure theyre much better in person. But you got some sweet shots of yours too mang! Looks like quite the same type of effect with those depending on lighting and whatnot.. Didnt understand others when they said they look gold(looked like pure copper to me initially, tbh), until I saw your photos! Ha. Definitely some sick wheels there too, and look perfect on your truck fer sure mang.

But yeah, I decided after seeing mine in person, that I just had to try and capture and share that if I could. Because some might think that some of these specialty colors are just too, Idk, flamboyant(which I have heard here and have to admit the thought had crossed my mind when I first saw them) But they really arent!

    Nice truck man...

Inferno and Gold is a good combination.
If I have an inferno taco and stock grille.
I would try to paint the grille gold and Black frame.

    Thank you very much.

I thought about it, just afraid it would be too much. Plus I know ultimately I'm going to switch it to a mesh grill. It would be very hard to color match the wheels with a powder coating. Unless it matches it might just look too weird.

Got the chance to buy a set of five brushed copper 17x8.5...wrapped them with 35x12.50 Toyo R/T’s.

Edit: don’t mind the stock headlights, my retros are being touched up.

On the down side, I am afraid to let anyone rotate them but me. 80 lbs each though, and, I am about due to have my brakes checked. :frusty: Double edged sword.

Its pretty safe to say that these wheels are so good looking that all finishes look great with all colors and its really only personal preference. I have yet to see a combo I haven't thought looked killer.
They aren't a complementary piece, they're their own stand alone feature.
