So you’re going to do a lift, have it aligned, then add UCAs later and have it aligned again?

Why not just do it all at once?

    Simply put, Budget.

Ideally I would like to retain the stock UCA’s. If that’s not possible I could save up what I need to install quality aftermarket UCA’s

Seems like it would make more sense to save up until you can do it all in one fell swoop.

What's you end up with for an overall settled height in the rear? Going for that same setup. Want to keep a bit of rake. Also running a rack, tent, and 200lbs of gear on top of it all most weekends. Seems theirs a no man's land between 985-26-117 And 985-26-118 travel wise and I'm trying to get it right with whatever pack I end up with.

Hhhmmm. Not sure about final settled height, it depends on what I have in my bed at the time. Memory says somewhere around 23.5" or 24" hub to fender. I have the 95 pack. Not running a cap or rack. Have Tonneau cover and some other things. Adds up to about 200lbs total on an avg day though. I'm not on level ground till tomorrow. I'll see if I can get one tomorrow. Get the 96 pack though for your setup. You can always remove a leaf if it's too stiff or high for you.

I can't speak to the 117's as I havent run em, but I almost went with them. I am extremely satisfied with the length of the 118's. No way will I run out of stroke. I am running superbumps front and rear too. They are plush when I bottom out.

I was swayed by Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road to roll with the 118's. They pair better with the Dakar pack is what she said. And super glad I did.

Not a sad day bro. More of an opportunity to use that insurance coverage to get a real bumper. Same thing happened to me with my 06' Taco and it bought me an ARB Bull bar. I opted for USAA to pay me vs the shop which was actually cheaper than OEM parts

Did you guys (or your customers) have to do the needle bearing replacement from ECGS that we've been reading more and more about lately?

Man, that’s good info. I already got it fixed with OEM parts but the next time I get hit and runned, I’ll opt for something aftermarket. Thanks for the tip.

We have seen a few people replace them after kits were installed, but then again our personal Tacoma here we did not and do not have an issue with it at all.

Thanks for the reply. It's interesting that some are having issues while some are not. I'd suppose QC issues with either the OEM parts used and/or how they're installed at the plant(s) since this is evidently affecting the T4R and FJ as well. .

Didn't really know where to ask this so I figure I'd try here: is there a difference between rear shocks advertised as for 2wd trucks vs 4wd trucks? I understand the fronts probably change but can't think of why the rears would be different.

    TL;Dr: can I put these on my 4x4 3rd Gen: https://www.shocksurplus.com/produc...a-tacoma-pre-runner-2wd?variant=8897658126378

I've got some old dakars with an AAL and have about 4" in the rear so I'm trying to find the right extended foxes and all signs point to this model number, but this vendor lists them as pre-runner shocks.

What are the pros and cons of 5100s on top notch with stock springs on a 2016 dcsb TRD OR to get 2-2.5 inch lift vs 5100s set at 0 and OME 885 springs how much lift would this give? Would the ride be good? Will I still be able to keep proper alignment?

Personal opinion..... the ride would suck with stock springs on the top notch of 5100s. Too much spring compression. Get the OME springs.

Which springs do you recommend to give me at least a level stance

We have seen a lot of people run the OME/ Bilstein setups, we personally don’t recommend doing so per manufacturer requests.

What we do offer though is a pre-assembled coilover with new top mounts, bushings and hardware. The coilovers will come with Eibach shocks, and springs that will yield 2” over stock ride height!

Here is a link to the fronts: http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com...-Front-Coilovers--2-Lift-16Tacoma_p_1867.html

So this would be a better setup than the 5100s ?

This vvvv is what I would recommend. Toytec must have been reading my mind. :D

I have been hearing the ride is great and these are budget friendly too!
    thanks @Toytec Lifts
