Second gen guys with "expo builds" are hilarious on here when they go to sell their truck. They think every mod adds value and price them accordingly, oftentimes with a spreadsheet justifying the price.

I couldn't stomach having a $20k truck and wheeling it in the midwest especially. There is too much mud and trees that just beat things up. Plus, if something were to happen and write off the truck, you are talking an insurance claim and a new car note. With an older rig, you just find another one on CL and move your axles/drivetrain over and go again..

It's less Tacoma and more mod
That's just what I did, had fun with my truck, built it up decently for what I like to do. Rolled her over, got another truck, moved the goodies over including drivetrain, and I'm off and wheeling again. Rinse and repeat

That's not a very valid argument.

    Back to Jeep stuff now.

Let’s get back on track. No point in arguing on what someone has in a rig or if they’re building or having someone do it for them. Just get out and enjoy it (when it’s done).

I got one 4 years ago. I found it to be a PITA. For scenario of more Wheeling then camping on trips.
My family could fit in our tjm yuluar. Once the kids got to big. We got the wife a hammock and we would rotate nights sleeping in it. Spending another grand on another tent was out of the question. And Bam. There came glamping at hotels. Lol. Plus tax man said I need way more travel expenses haha

I have a great ground tent from Kelty. I think I paid a whopping $175 for it. Definitely not #instatwitmyfacefuckbook worthy but it gets the job done.

Somebody just got my fiancée and I a nice $200 Coleman instant up tent off our wedding registry and shipped it early so we could have it for what appears to be a damp Windrock trip in a couple weeks.

Not instafacegram worthy but should be practical
