RTIC is having a sale. Debating which size cooler is better. I mainly travel with just one other person. Would a 45 be good or 65? Trips from weekends to maybe 5 days.

 

I have the 65. Get the divider. You can put frozen goods with dry ice in one side and put refrigerated in the other.

 

Well. Over landing sometimes involves travelling large distances and staying in the seat for long hours right? My single cab bench seat sucks big time. What if I find a couple of good seats that water and dirt won't hurt, and then for a center console, find the smallest fridge freezer they make? Is that feasible??

 

Sure is!...biggest issue is the wiring and such for the airbags and seat belts I swapped my bench seat for tacoma buckets and still need to fab up a console of some sort but my lunch cooler fits pretty good so I'm in no rush. Night and day the sitability for a long trek though!

 

Contact Metal Tech and see if they can help. They have a kit for FJs using prp seats that comes with a harness to retain front airbag / side airbag functionality.

 

Hit up @stroM-. He put a small snowmaster fridge as his center console.

What about durable seats that rain and mud won't hurt. Sometimes I like to cruise with no doors

 

Neoprene seat covers might be the best option there unless you can find an aftermarket seat company that will use neoprene as the seating material

Ive looked into this. They make one that runs off of USB and can be plugged into a portable battery meant for charging phones.

Now that winter is over on the east coast, it moved down on my priority list, but its still good when I find myself in my 0 degree bag, and still cold

 

Soooo you pulled your seat to make room for a fridge?

 

I can now say I witnessed a human remove there seat for a fridge of what I hope is beer. I tip my hat to you sir.
