What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I would love a new exhaust. Honestly the stock exhaust doesn't sound all that bad either.

Would a new header add any negligible performance gains?

 

I do have those tools. I am really good with a hammer.

 

Stock is quiet but sounds nice when you get on it. I have the LCE header and I found the most noticeable effect it has had was removing all the stupid leak points the stock has. I had a cracked stock manifold and warped mating flange for the down pipe so the LCE was an easy way to get around fixing all that. I have no way of proving this, but it feels like it has a bit more pull in the higher RPM, like when I'm hauling ass up a mtn pass at 4K RPM and 75MPH. I think it just flows better and it helps that my whole exhaust system is far shorter than stock too.

I washed that thing I don't know how many times, plus drove through some pretty decent water crossings and I still get crap in my eyes!

How much lift did you get out of it? I'm looking to get a Wheeler's 1.5 aal for my truck to see if I can level it out (the front of my truck sits about 1-1.5 inches higher than the back right now).

Bummer, the V6 is a ping happy motor, some do it without boost, just a strange quirk that still continues to puzzle folks. I don't remember if I asked before, but did you have fueling mods?
